Joe Horn: Looking for a Trade

Update: Horn and his agent are prepared to ask the Falcons for a trade, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Recommendation: His frustration seems to be rooted in the fact that his on-field role is shrinking, as the Falcons are getting younger at the position. “I know I can still play — and start — but Roddy [White] deserves his chance and Laurent Robinson is making plays and he deserves his chance,” Horn said. “When I came here last year I was promised I’d be on the field and it turned out I was a just-in-case guy with the situation that went on. So far this year, it seems like that’s the case again.” General manager Thomas Dimitroff said that Horn is still a part of the team’s future, but given how little he was utilized last season, the Falcons could grant Horn his wish if an interested club offers up a mid-late round draft pick of the team’s liking, rather than simply cutting him if the young receivers are ready to handle the load.

If the Jets could get him for a late pick I wouldn't be upset. Yes he'd take a roster spot away from someone younger with potential but I think he'd help guys like Brad Smith, Chansi Stuckey, and Marcus Henry. It won't happen, but if it did I wouldnt be upset.

If he's healthy I'll give up a 6th, I wouldn't mind adding another vet at WR even if he's nothing special, we have plenty of weapons but antoher speed WR would be nice.

just dont come to the NFC North, unless its Green Bay, or Detroit, it'd be funny to watch Detroit get another WR

LOL. Yeah, the Saints were so dumb for cutting their losses. *rolls eyes*
The whole world loves neophyte athletic tight end Jimmy Graham from Miami with the 95th pick. "Best pick in the draft,'' one AFC coach told me. "Give him time, and in that offense, he'll be better than [Jeremy] Shockey by the start of next year.''

Dont come to GB... I think the Packers were interested when the Saints cut him. Im glad we didnt get him and wouldn't be worried at all if he ends up in the NFC North.

It's not like he just got extremely sorry when he left NO, he thought he would be playing with Michael Vick, so obviously we haven't even got to see him utilized properly in a good offense with a good QB, had Vick played last year I feel like he could of been decent...If I were him I wouldn't want to be there anyway, he needs to be on a team who can use a veteran WR, he is useless to Atlanta.

I'll give ya 15th round pick for him.

Oh wait, they haven't had that many rounds in the draft since he started playing!

I doubt anyone trades anything for him. Why would you? He's gonna get cut if he doesn't wanna be there, so just wait till the Falcons release him. I'm sure there's not gonna be a line of teams dying to sign him anyway.
