Bosworth actually showed flashes...at least he did in the 1988 game against the 49ers.

I think Roy Williams is a good candidate, actually. I haven't seen him make a single hard hit the last two years...and he has become so soft it's unbelievable. If he doesn't horse collar you, he doesn't get you down.

That said, Derek Smith's a LINEBACKER...and tackling is his primary job...which just makes it inconceivable that he'd be so awful at it.

As far as bad tacklers, Bosanac is really making a good case for Derek Smith
I don't know, as of this past season, all he could do was 2 things...Horse Collar, or throw his body as hard as he could into the ball carrier without wrapping up...The Lions game comes to mind, either Duckett or Jones was carrying the ball and he just ran in with his shoulder, head down, and lets guys bounce right off him...He also got the bad habit of taking bad angles too many times.

But thats still nothing on Deion, he didn't want anything to do with contact at all, and everyone knew it...Its a good thing he was the best cover corner ever so the tackling aspect didn't matter.

Yeah unless you try to tackle him by tripping him or grabbing his legs from behind you had no chance.

Agreed. Torry Holt is also too slow to be a good tackler.

Yup. I was watching a Rams-Cardinals game. The Cardinals sent out a guy in a wheelchair and Torry Holt still couldn't get separation.

That's cause it was an automatic wheel chair.

Had it been a normal one I'm sure he would have gotten open.

Holt wouldn't have caught the ball anyways.

Did I say that? I said he would get open. Catching is never part of Torry Holt's equation. Well, usually not more than 100 times a season.
