I think it was a great masterstroke by the Giants, and I give them full credit for the move. Bravo.

How much the Berrian sign for? Who did you guys sign? It is such an inexact science. But that one poster seems to have gotten it down. He is pretty well known across all football boards for being accurate.

Depends on how Berrian does. I would guess that Wilson and Mitchell would be more of an impact then Berrian. But production for all these guys is the factor, and I would guess Wilson and Mitchell produce more then Berrian.

Give me a break, the guy signed for the vet minimum. Salary-wise he doesn't even factor into the comp picks equation at all.

Same old stupid ass NY media.

The biggest signing for us was Briggs, no real big FA, i think Booker was cut as well as Lloyd

He probably won't. But you never know. It certainly didn't hurt. And Garafolo isn't your typical NY media. He's pretty informative in his blog. The stuff found there isn't what you get when you pick up a copy of the Post/Daily News.

Isn't there only the top "X" amount of salaries count towards comp picks?

I believe it's in the high 30's or low 40s?

If thats the case, then Berrians contract wouldn't have made a differnce... EXCEPT for you must lose more players when you do the loss vs. gain. If you sign more than you lose, (Of Salaries counted, it must be a net loss).

                      Yeah, I play WoW too.[/CENTER]

Wynn could have a great season, but with a 650K salary, at best he'll contribute 7th round value comp picks-wise and that's probably unlikely. Salary is the biggest factor in the equation by a great deal.

900K to 1M is where it about tetters down, if that sometimes (Mike Doss signed a 1M contract with the Vikings last season, Colts didn't even get a 7th round pick for him).

Now the Danny Clark and Sammy Knight signings, those are actual factors. Clark signed for 4 over 2/2 avg and Knight signed for 5.15 over 3/1.72 avg, which respectively put them in the late 6th/7th round and 7th round range value-wise. Giants still have Wilson, Mitchell, and Torbor in their favor however, at much bigger signings, so they should get at least two good comp picks in all likelihood.

i have a feeling that Wynn plays inside for us as a DT. its interesting to see the approach our team is taking. Jughead mentioned it before, i think he might be right. It seems like we're slowly getting rid of DTs in our scheme and just going with all DEs on the line. Even our DTs are asked to be more penetrating than clogging types.

We were gonna take Phillip Merling if Kenny Phillips was off the board. Now we sign a base LE who's about 300 lbs, and chances are we're gonna put him at DT. Just seems like we have a different philosophy compared to conventional wisdom. Im unsure how i feel about it. I like it in the nickel package, but i want us to get more bulky DTs for our base 4-3.

Titans should be in the run for some good compensatory picks next year. Reinfeldt will just **** em up though.

                              I could see that.

I loved Wynn in DC, he's a great guy and a solid player.
