    AFC: Peyton Manning
He is the model of consistency when it comes to NFL QBs.

    NFC: Eli Manning
There really is a drop-off in QB talent when you go from the AFC to the NFC. If Eli Manning can perform in the regular season like he did in the playoffs, he will end the season in Hawaii.

Peyton and Eli at the top of the league would be cool.
NFC QB's are all pretty close. I wonder if Favre would be considered the best NFC QB this year if he was to play.

        AFC: Peyton Manning
NFC: Drew Brees (with the defense improved he'll get better field position and more time on the field)

Yes, if we're basing it on last year's play.

          My votes:

          AFC: Tom Brady

Brady has supreme talent around him and has proved he knows how to use it. I think the Colts offense is going to look a lot more pedestrian than normal also, which will hurt Manning.

          NFC: Tony Romo

Romo will compile stats because he has a great team around him. I'm not a big fan myself because he self-destructs too often, but he is explosive even if he does take too many risks.

AFC: Brady: The Pats D may struggle, but the Offense is pretty much unchanged. I see Brady having big numbers again.

NFC: Romo: Year number 2 under Jason Garrett, with everyone who mattered returning on offense, plus more experience for the young WR's. He could realistically hit 40 TD's and 4300 yards.

Brady/Brees sounds like a solid combo to me.
