He retired because his man crush isn't coming back.

I agree, I can see him fitting in...In a perfect world I'd get to hear Mike & Mike along with Mike Ditka, that was sheer brilliance the one time they got together IMHO.

Finally, now I can watch Sunday Night football with the sound on.

Let's get some activity going in the Cleveland sub-forum!

Ah, damn, I'll hate to see Madden go. For all the jokes that were made about him he was one of the funnest guys to listen to in the booth.

I can only hope they go outside to find a new color analyst because I loathe listening to Collinsworth. It would kill Sunday night football for me.

Just an idea, but why not go the route of getting a recently retired coach (somewhat like how Madden got started) and see if Tony Dungy would be interested? He's a smart guy, well spoken..I think he'd be a terrific color analyst if he wanted to do it.

            I hope not, but probably...

What about Matt Millen? Terrible GM, but IIRC, he was a pretty good announcer.

^Thanks to Eaglez.Fan for the sweet sig!

              'Tis a sad day...
The whole world loves neophyte athletic tight end Jimmy Graham from Miami with the 95th pick. "Best pick in the draft,'' one AFC coach told me. "Give him time, and in that offense, he'll be better than [Jeremy] Shockey by the start of next year.''

“We know that no matter the adversity, be it the lockout, be it the suspension or be it a hurricane, our men will pull together and defend the honor of this city. We’ve shown we’ve been able to do that.” - Jabari Greer

He was a very good color commentator for Fox back in the day, he would make a lot of sense.

It was getting really rough towards the end. Unfortunately it will probably be Collinsworthless, so the sound will remain off. Jaws would be awesome. Then I could at least turn the sound on for one of the two prime time games.

That would be down right classic.

You're right, I shouldn't rush to put the sound on until we know the replacement...
