Not perfect, but not too bad.
McGee was a consistently great return man, and he'd still be damn good, but right now it is all McKelvin, and rightfully so.

I'm not surprised to see every Buffalo pick so far has been on special teams. At least it's at a variety of positions. Arming Bobby April with that kind of talent is just not fair.

The offense suffered a year ago because Bratkowski's playbook relied on a pro bowl QB and a tremendous line.
It's more strategic for the way we're doing this. It's tough to put a Brown anywhere else on the roster considering the infinite possibilities so once you start running out of teams, Bratkowski turns into a not so bad option considering the talent you have on these teams.

                      QB Matt Ryan (Falcons)
                      RB Adrian Peterson (Vikings)
                      WR Calvin Johnson (Lions)
                      WR Andre Johnson (Texans)
                      WR Steve Smith (Panthers)
                      TE Greg Olsen (Bears)
                      LT Joe Thomas (Browns)
                      LG Davin Joseph (Bucs)
                      C Nick Hardwick (Chargers)
                      RG Vince Manuwai (Jaguars)
                      RT Jake Long (Dolphins)

This is an extremely young yet (mostly) proven offense which should be around for a while and improve over time. It should be one of the most balanced units in the league with the best RB in the league running the football and some of the best targets in the league catching the ball from arguably the youngest franchise QB in the NFL, who should only continue to improve with all the talent around him on this offense. I think this would be quite a fun unit to watch.

                      RE Haloti Ngata (Ravens)
                      NT B.J. Raji (Packers)
                      LE Tyson Jackson (Chiefs)
                      SOLB Mathias Kiwanuka (Giants)
                      SILB David Harris (Jets)
                      WILB Patrick Willis (49ers)
                      WOLB DeMarcus Ware (Cowboys)
                      CB Nnamdi Asomugha (Raiders)
                      FS OJ Atogwe (Rams)
                      SS Adrian Wilson (Cardinals)
                      CB Marcus Trufant (Seahawks)

I went with a 3-4 since no one else was doing it, also because of who I'm picking as my head coach. Youth and versatility are large themes here, with Ngata and Raji both being capable of getting after the QB as well as being walls against the run, Ware and Kiwi being a pretty scary pass rushing combo for just about any QB, Willis being the leader/Mr. Everything and Harris the run thumper in the middle. In the secondary, Adrian Wilson would likely play a role similar to that of Troy Polamalu, Asomugha would shut out just about any team's #1 WR, Trufant would hold his own against #2 WRs, and Atogwe would be an excellent last line of defense.

                      K Shayne Graham (Bengals)
                      P Brian Moorman (Bills)
                      KR Chris Johnson (Titans)
                      PR Reggie Bush (Saints)
                      LS Ethan Albright (Redskins)

Lots of athleticism and ability on special teams. Moorman is probably the most athletic punter in the league, and would probably get the team a first down or two on punt fakes, Chris Johnson would not only be an excellent KR with his blazing speed, but would also team with AD to form the most electrifying backfield tandem the NFL has ever seen, and Reggie Bush adds to that dynamic as not only one of the best PRs in the league, but also as a RB/WR weapon that would give the offense much more flexibility. Add in one of the best kickers in the league and the ever infamous Red Beard (you mess with Ethan Albright, you call down the thunder :D), and you've got a pretty solid ST unit.

                      OC Josh McDaniels (Broncos)
                      DC Jim Johnson (Eagles)
                      HC Bill Belichick (Patriots)
                      GM Bill Polian (Colts)
                      Owner Dan Rooney (Steelers)

I wanted an owner who I knew would do things the right way, and considering who my head coach is, would make sure things are done the right way, and when you think football owners, one of the first 2 or 3 names that comes to mind will be Rooney, they definitely know how to run an organization and do it the right way. Next, I wanted a great drafter, so I picked the best drafter in the NFL today in Bill Polian, who rarely if ever misses on a first round selection, frequently find late round and UDFA gems, and also happens to be a guru of offensive talent evaluation. To counterbalance the offensive bias of my GM, I pick Bill Belichick as my head coach, who is arguably the best defensive talent evaluator in the league, and has the added bonuses of a proven track record of putting together great defenses and developing young QBs with his offensive system by building their confidence up then giving them more and more responsibility. To run that system, I bring in Josh McDaniels as my OC, who has a proven track record of making Belichick's offensive system work and helping to develop young QBs. Finally, I add Jim Johnson as my DC simply because I think putting the minds of Bill Belichick and Jim Johnson together might possibly create the best defensive scheme we've ever seen, it would certainly be interesting to see what those two could come up with, and fun to watch.

EDIT: For fun and to fill out a roster, I decided to make a backup team following these rules: 1) Any player that started the 2008 season as the starter on his team's depth chart can't be picked 2) Any player that started 8+ games during the 2008 season can't be picked 3) Any player from the 2009 draft class can't be picked 4) One player from each of the 32 teams must be selected. If you'd like to do the same, feel free.

                      QB Brady Quinn (Browns)
                      QB Chad Henne (Dolphins)
                      RB Darren McFadden (Raiders)
                      RB Jonathan Stewart (Panthers)

The problem arises when people use statistics like a drunk uses a lamp post: for support instead of illumination.

If luck is where preparation meets opportunity, then clutch is where failure meets luck.

<Add1ct> setting myself on fire can't be that hard
