  • St. Louis Rams likely for Sale

    http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/spo...5?OpenDocument

Until now, Rosenbloom, the franchise's managing partner, has said he was open to the idea of selling the Rams as long as the new owner agreed to keep the team in St. Louis, long-term. Rosenbloom hoped that his pledge would entice a buyer from the St. Louis community.

According to a source familiar with Rosenbloom's thinking, Rosenbloom is discouraged by the apparent lack of local ownership interest. Rosenbloom, the source said, has been waiting for more than a year for a St. Louis-area bidder to step forward, to no avail.
I hope they stay in St. Louis!

Well there is that one Billionaire in L.A. who desperately wants to get a team to the Los Angeles. He was talking about the Vikings moving out there after the vikings lease comes up and Zygi might sell idk the whole story. But I do hope the Rams stay in St. Louis. They have moved way to much in their times of a franchise.

No matter what they decide on, I hope they are able to stay in St. Louis and turn it around.

The Rams will not be moved.

The front runners are Dave Checketts (St. Louis Blues owner), and Stan Kroenke (Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche owner).

Sam Farmer, issued a statement about LA, and it sounds as if LA is in no shape at all to gain an NFL Team. Here's what he said:

#1. Citizens of L.A. do not want to contribute anything in tax dollars to building the stadium.

#2. L.A.'s population is 50% Hispanic and a large part of that population are not American football fans. They grew up as Baseball and Soccer fans.

#3. Ed Roski, who is interested in buying an NFL team and building an NFL stadium in Industry Ca (30 minutes east of downtown L.A.), will not be abe to do anything until he sale's his Casino/Hotel in Las Vegas. That is because the NFL doesn't want to be associated with any gambling. There was rumors that the property title could be given to Roski's son, but that won't fly. He said right now property is not moving in Las Vegas. So it would be really hard to sale it anytime soon.

#4. The state of California is in a terrible financial crisis. Much more than most other states.

#5. Getting into "politics" Missouri is considered a swing state. So politicians from both sides would step up to help St.Louis keep the Rams to help their respective political parties.

#6. There will be a lot of anti-trust exemptions involved to tie this up.

#7. The NFL is not interested in moving any franchises. He said he doesn't believe, from the information he has gathered and the people in L.A. who are in the know, that the Rams will not be an option anyway. He said the Chargers would be the much more viable option. They are close to L.A. already and the league would more likely let that happen than to let the Rams, Jags, or Vikings come to L.A.
Checketts doesn't have all the money in the world, but he knows people who do, and he recently, as soon as yesterday has been developing a Local Group to purchase the Rams.

Stan Kroenke is very interested and owns just under half of the Rams, the only restriction is that he already has the majority of the ownership of the Nuggets and Avalanche which prevent him from being able to own a majority of the Rams (due to the NFL rules). But lately, there has been more talk of the possibility of the NFL allowing Kroenke to own a majority.

The Rams will not move, and wouldn't be able to move until after 2014 due to the Rams lease with the Edward Jones Dome. And as I said, Dave Checketts (Owner of the St. Louis Blues), and Stan Kroenke (Owner of the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche) are the Front Runners, and that Los Angeles is in NO shape to have an NFL franchise.

I just called, I am the high bidder at $28.13. What? I am a poor college student, I offered all the money I have. If I were rich, I would do it.
