  • Players You Want to See Succeed

I got the idea from the prospect you loved thread. There are those guys in the league who had doubters or adversity coming into the league and because of that, you want to see them do well. Also, guys who were college studs who maybe fell in the draft or top picks who haven't yet delivered and you want to see play up to their potential. Who are the guys you want to see succeed.

*PLEASE TRY NOT TO BE A HOMER BY JUST PICKING GUYS ON YOUR TEAM YOU WANT TO DO WELL*

    For me....

    Colt Brennan

    Troy Smith

    Calais Campbell

    Dwayne Jarrett

You should probably just rename this "The Homer Thread" because that's what you're going to get.

Brian Leonard. I was hoping he'd be a great RB in the NFL, and would've loved for the Eagles to get him when he was drafted.

(No I didn't do this for Scotty, I legitimately love Brian Leonard, though I doubt it is comparable to Scotty's love)
Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir is a goddess

This is probably a pretty safe assumption.

              Aaron Curry.

I'm a Seahawks fan so of course there's that aspect of it but I just really like him as a person so I hope he does very well.

Homer picks aside, I want to see Brady Quinn succeed. His green room draft fall was one of the saddest things I ever saw. And the reporter kept asking him how he felt. He needs to stick it to all those teams.

Homer pick: Peyton Hillis because he is awesome.

                  Aaron Ross

                  Brandon Merriweather

                  Robert Meachem

                  John Carlson

                  Cliff Avril

Few notes about these selections- I didn't want to name obvious players like Calvin Johnson and players like Michael Griffen, so I went for players who I loved coming out of college who have the chance to really succeed.

                            My Packers eddition:

                            TE Jermichael Finley
                            NT B.J. Raji
                            OT Jamon Meredith

I don't expect Clay Matthews to be the next DeMarcus Ware, let alone the next Lamarr Woodley, but I hope he can become 7-10 sack guy
