Some stupid tidbits of what is going on at each camp, if you want some other website provides minute by minute happenings at the camps.

10:38:42 am One starting battle to keep an eye on at Vikings camp is left DE. Ray Edwards is working with the first team, but Brian Robison will provide good competition.
10:36:23 am Ravens QB John Beck threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to WR Justin Harper, who beat DB Domonique Foxworth on the play.
10:35:29 am Saints GM Mickey Loomis said while their were some discussions about possible contract extensions for WR Lance Moore , T Jammal Brown and G Jahri Evans during the summer, no deals were hammered out.

10:35:09 am Redskins QB Jason Campbell hit WR Devin Thomas with a deep crossing route but then was picked off on the next play by CB Carlos Rogers. He stepped in front of WR Santana Moss, who was running a deep out.
10:31:58 am Pro Football Hall of Famer Lenny Moore is at Ravens practice.
10:31:55 am Jeff Charleston and Anthony Hargrove will also receive some reps with the Saints ' first-team defense at defensive end.
10:29:42 am Though four-game suspensions are looming, Saints DEs Will Smith and Charles Grant will see the most action with the first-team defense during training camp. Bobby McCray and Paul Spicer should also get time with the first team.
10:29:01 am The Redskins are closing out morning practice with a non-contact, 11-on-11 scrimmage.
10:28:50 am Lions coach Jim Schwartz on team goals: "Our goals are short term. Have a good day today. Saying 8 wins or 12 wins is successful, you don't want to put constraints on the team."
10:27:26 am A heavy emphasis already is being put on special teams in Vikings camp. That unit last year gave up a league-high seven touchdowns.
10:26:39 am As the rain starts to fall at Redskins Park, LB/DE Brian Orakpo has shifted from working with the linebackers to working with the defensive ends. The hybrid Orakpo is expected to see action at both positions.
10:23:44 am Ravens QB Joe Flacco is looking sharp. He just rifled a pass over the middle to WR Demetrius Williams between LB Ray Lewis and FS Dawan Landry .
10:23:43 am Saints coach Sean Payton said RB Reggie Bush and WR Marques Colston enter training camp at 100 percent despite some offseason health issues. Also, Payton said again that the team has no interest in free-agent QB Michael Vick.
10:23:39 am On his first play under center, rookie Jets QB Mark Sanchez from USC was pressured by backup safety James Ihedigbo .
10:20:37 am The Jets' first 11-on-11 drill began with a complete pass from QB Kellen Clemens to tight end Dustin Keller on a quick sideline out.
10:20:21 am Saints coach Sean Payton said three players could be slowed by injuries going into training camp: LB Jonathan Vilma (abdomen), WR Lance Moore (shoulder ) and WR Adrian Arrington (hamstring). Vilma had minor surgery last month.
10:20:17 am Lions to run conditioning tests Saturday: "Its all about being accountable," coach Jim Schwartz said."Training camp is not the time to get in shape."
10:16:47 am Ravens WR Biren Ealy just beat DB Lardarius Webb to catch a long TD pass from QB Troy Smith .
10:16:06 am Starting Eagles WR Kevin Curtis walked back to the locker room midway through practice. He had off-season surgery for a sports hernia but hadn't missed any practice until now.
10:14:57 am Saints GM Mickey Loomis also said with the Saints being deep at corner, he didn't anticipate first-round pick CB Malcolm Jenkins becoming a starter this season anyway. Tracy Porter and Jabari Greer are the leading CB starters
10:13:36 am Kris Jenkins appears to already be in mid-season form. In a nine-on-seven drill, the 360-pound Jets nose tackle stopped RB Leon Washington dead in his tracks and then put rookie RB Shonn Greene on the ground.

10:11:05 am The Saints have wasted no time jumping into full contact drills as they open training camp this morning donning full pads.
10:09:37 am Vikings No. 1 pick WR Percy Harvin (Florida) is officially a holdout. Practice No. 1 is underway and he isn't here. The players are stretching.
10:08:40 am Saints GM Mickey Loomis said he's pessimistic that first-round pick CB Malcom Jenkins will agree to a contract in the near future. "There is no progress at all," Loomis said. Jenkins is the only player not to report to camp on time.
10:07:25 am Highlight of the Ravens' first hour: TE Todd Heap made a twisting catch to haul in a pass over the middle that was thrown behind him by QB Joe Flacco.
10:07:24 am No rookie dues to be paid by Redskins LB/DE Brian Orakpo. He is comfortably working at LB with the first defense.
10:04:06 am Donovan McNabb's first pass of Eagles practice was almost intercepted by Quintin Mikell, who dropped it when he was blind-sided by LB Chris Gocong.

10:01:29 am OG Colin Dow was released by the Bengals this morning after failing his physical. Dow was an undrafted rookie free agent from the University of Montana, and had little chance to make the team as a left guard.
9:57:06 am Ravens K Steve Hauschka went 3-for-4 kicking FGs from 20 to 40 yards. K Graham Gano went 4-for-4.
9:54:34 am Redskins QB Jason Campbell looks sharp in practice once again as the quarterbacks, running backs, and receivers are running through passing drills.
9:54:34 am Ravens QB Joe Flacco just ran the option and pitched the ball to WR Marcus Smith for a gain of seven yards.
9:47:54 am Vikings WR Coach George Stewart on the opening of camp: "We're ready to roll."
9:46:14 am Eagles fans finally had something to cheer about when WR DeSean Jackson beat DB Ellis Hobbs for a long TD during a one-on-one drill. QB Kevin Kolb threw the 60-yarder.
9:39:16 am There's a lot of speculation about whether the Patriots might sign Michael Vick. Bill Belichick had high praise for the quarterback yesterday.
9:37:00 am Redskins reserve RB Dominique Dorsey is at practice but not participating in drills today. More on the injury to follow.

9:33:54 am Kareem Brown is officially on the Jets roster as a tight end after transitioning from defensive lineman during the off-season.
9:30:56 am The crowd yelled for Redskins CB Fred Smoot as he hopped up to run the gunner drill for punt coverage. CB Carlos Rogers and safety LaRon Landry promptly drove Smoot out of bounds toward his adoring fans. In typical Smoot fashion, he laughed it off.
9:29:50 am Ravens rookie Michael Oher is playing right OT with the first-team offense.
9:25:40 am Ravens QB Joe Flacco just turned a bootleg into a 20-yard touchdown run.
9:24:56 am As the Redskins run through special teams drills, rookie CB Kevin Barnes is starting to shine after a rough start yesterday. He's the fourth CB on the depth chart and will have to showcase his skills on special teams.

9:24:29 am Finally: Ravens first team offense against first team defense, no tackling.
9:20:42 am The Redskins are stretching together.
9:17:35 am Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti is attending practice.
9:16:49 am Before Patriots practice starts today, a big question is whether Vince Wilfork will finally speak to the media and what he might say about his contract situation. He avoided the press yesterday.
9:12:45 am Rookie WR Jeremy Maclin remains unsigned and Eagles coach Andy Reid is losing patience. "You can't buy back that time," Reid said. "He's going to have to be playing a catch-up game."
9:09:01 am Six Eagles are on the physically-unable-to-perform list: OL Shawn Andrews (back), OL Jason Peters (quad spasms), CB Asante Samuel (hamstring), DT Trevor Laws (hamstring), RB Brian Westbrook (ankle) and DB Victor Abiamiri (pec strain).
9:01:35 am Ravens RBs Willis McGahee, Ray Rice and Le'Ron McClain looking sharp running through tires.
9:00:34 am Jets RB Leon Washington is on the field. He didn't report with the rest of the team yesterday. Looks like a new deal is in place or at least close.
8:56:37 am The Eagles just began their first full-squad practice of camp. It's also their first practice with full contact, so the pads will be poppin' soon.
8:54:53 am It's raining in Cortland as the Jets take the field for their first
practice of the Rex Ryan era. QB Kellen Clemens is taking snaps with
the ones while Mark Sanchez works with the twos.

8:50:52 am QB Jason Campbell on how he felt about the loud ovation he received Thursday when he entered the field: "It felt good until I saw the sign that read sign Mike Vick."

8:49:34 am The Ravens are practicing running plays against an imaginary defense.
8:48:28 am Ravens TE L.J. Smith is not practicing this morning because of a tweaked left hamstring. His leg is being wrapped in gauze by a trainer right now.
8:46:31 am As players entered the field, the loudest applause from Redskins fans was for LB/DE Brian Orakpo, a 1st-round pick who signed late last night.
8:43:13 am Ravens LB Ray Lewis has arrived at practice.
8:41:28 am Ravens G Marshal Yanda is in uniform and practicing after missing most of last season because of torn ligaments in his right knee.
8:40:58 am The sun just broke through at Redskins Park as the team trickles on to the practice field. Rain is in the forecast today.
8:28:01 am The Ravens' first of two practices today will begin shortly.
8:26:26 am The Ravens have placed WR Kelley Washington on the PUP list because he has the flu.
8:24:54 am The Ravens have signed WR Thomas White.
8:23:57 am Ravens RB Willis McGahee and G Ben Grubbs have been removed from the PUP list and are expected to practice today.
8:20:46 am The Ravens have placed All-Pro FS Ed Reed on the PUP list. Reed was hampered with a nerve impingement in his neck and shoulder last season.

Beanie Wells was carted off the field today w/ an apparent ankle injury.

ESPN news has it as breaking news but, other reports say he was smiling as he was being carted away. So hopefully, it's nothing serious.

The Seahawks released Mike Wahle. Rob Sims moved from RG to LG, Mansfield Wrotto is working at RG. 2nd round pick Max Unger will challenge for one of those spots.

          Marcus Trufant placed on PUP.
          "Oh **** it's Kam, RUN!!!"

            As for the Cowboys...

Romo has been very sharp. The Romo to Williams connection is coming along very slowly. But he has been spreading the ball around very well during camp. And has shown excellent chemistry w/ Patrick Crayton and Sam Hurd, most noteably among the receivers.

Kitna has been off and on. Mostly off, sailing the ball often over guys heads and throwing behind guys. He is making throws that Brad Johnson could not make anymore, though. So really, he should be find.

Stephen Mcgee has been pretty awful. The new captain checkdown, they call him. And he keeps tucking and running in 7 on 7 and 11 on 11's. Yeah, that's a big no no. Especially in 7 on 7's, come on now. He seems really gun shy at the moment.

All the running backs have been fantastic. Barber is slimmed down a bit and quicker. Felix is healthy and is much more involved in the offense. He is even returning punts. And Choice has been extremely steady and playing great out there. He's also catching everything sent his way.

Wide receivers have been fun. Crayton spent the off-season at Michael Johnson's camp, and is noticeable faster. He's been having a great camp. Miles Austin has been very consistent, a couple of drops here and there but, he doesnt look nearly as raw anymore. And he is making plenty of catches down the field. His routes are much cleaner, he's just gotta hold onto that football. And Sam Hurd, has been the surprise of camp for most. Bigger and faster than last season, he's abusing our corners in one on one's and just keeps making plays in live action. He has caught more passes than any other receiver thus far and the dallas morning news bloggers have made note of the excellent chemistry he has with Romo. He's got Romo's trust and that is huge as he continues to battle for playing time. Really though, Romo has been doing a fine job in finding Crayton, Hurd, and Austin. I've got confidence in this group and it looks like Romo does too.

Witten has been Witten. And Martellus Bennett, has been excellent. Simply fantastic, that is. haha. He's an odd ball but, he can play the game. We're installing a lot more two TE sets and Martellus is catching everything, he's just too big and too fast for the defense. He's been a nightmare to cover. And his blocking is superb. A star in the making. Something he can improve on, though. Less dancing. I've seen several bloggers mention that instead of trying to bull over or power over a lone corner, he'll attempt to dance around him. No need for any of that, at his size. He'll learn.

Starting O-Line has been sharp as well. Leonard Davis is seeing some reps at backup LT just in case something happens to Flo, he wasnt too bad there in his limited action. Flozell has been steady and had a real solid practice today. Moving Ware out of the play, several times. Gurode has dominated everyone not named Ratliff. That's a fun battle but, Ratliff is so ridiculously quick and strong, he's just a menace. What a find Rat turned out to be. He just keeps getting better and better.

Aside from Ratliff, the rest of the line has performed pretty well. Marcus Spears is in great shape, down to about 307. He was quiet early but, has really turned it on the last few practices. Olshansky has shown a little bit more than avertized on the pass rushing front. Still I wouldnt get too excited about any of that. haha. Stephen Bowen has probably been the next best, he keeps blowing plays up. He'll be moving inside in nickel situations. I'm a big Bowen fan, I think we have something there, it's nice to see him making things happen. Marcus Dixon has been making a few things happen as well, he could make the team this year. Backup NT Junior Siavii has been up and down. Pretty steady, not that good but, not horrible. Jason Hathcer looks like he is having a realy tough time, though. Looking slow off the line and weaker since returning from off-season surgery. Hopefully, he'll get that quickness back. Not looking too good right now.

Linebackers. Ware is 5 pounds heavier and as dangerous as ever. Enough said. My fellow cowboy fans expressed some concern with Spencer but, he has been noted as having a real solid camp and he keeps getting better. Wade says he has been fantastic against the run. The young backups Victor Butler and Brandon Williams have been great. They certainly look the part of 3-4 OLB pass rushers already. Wade has been real pleased w/ their effort so far. We hear their names a lot during practice. Bradie James has been excellent, Brooking looks like an upgrade over Thomas, and Bobby Carpenter seems to have a firm grasp on the nickel LB job. Wade has been loving on Bobby, he seems to be much improved. That's great to hear but, I'm holding off judgement until i see it. Jason Williams has shown off his 4.4 speed at LB but, he's been a little timid and is learning the position slowly. The potential is evident, though. And even when he gets beat, with that speed...he finds a way to get in the right position, according to Mr. Phillips.

Secondary. Newman is Newman. Jenkins and Scandrick have been outstanding, they're not making anything easy and continue to fight for that #2 corner job. These guys are going to be stars in this doubt in my mind. Only irk I have is they could both gamble a bit too much, especially in Scandrick's case but, with experience they should overcome these things. They have us all excited. Allen Ball, Courtney Brown, and rookie Mike Mickens have all been good. Sure they'll have their bad practices but, they've all been making plays. Roster longshot Hawkins was making plays before he was injured, very nice to see. Ken Hamlin hasnt made any big plays but, I havent heard anything negative either. Wade really like Gerald Sensabaugh and thinks he's better than advertised as well. Michael Hamlin, has been making play after play after play. Making acrobatic interceptions and deflections, he's going to be exciting to watch. He's also being used in a dime LB role, a position Anthony Henry excelled w/ last season. Deangelo Smith has been quiet but, I'd say that's a good thing. He's behind Crayton right now in the punt return duty race. Looks like it will be Crayton or Smith in most instances with Felix Jones getting his chance when the offense is backed up a great deal and we could bring their gunners Felix little pressure to catch the ball. This used to be Newman's deal every now and then.

            And lastly kickers/punters.

Nick Folk has a little pain still but should be 100% by the start of the season. David Buehler was booming kick offs deep into the end zone...that's what we got him for and he didnt disappoint when he got his shot to kickoff. We're also exploring other ways to use him...Holder, Up Back, gunner, wedge, etc. And then there is Mat Mcbriar who is at full health. He is getting more extension than ever, there is picture from today's practice where it looks like he kicked himself in the head. lol. He's been booming 70-80 yard punts in practice. The leg is back and that video screen is going to be pelted. That could be a problem.

There, long right up. But us Cowboy fans get frequent updates on camp so we're well informed of what is going on there. I may have forgotten some, I dont know.

In his public debut for the Detroit Lions, No. 1 draft pick Matthew Stafford had all the poise of a veteran NFL quarterback from the moment he stepped on the practice field Saturday for the official start of training camp.

              No stomach butterflies?

"I had a lot of fun out there," Stafford said after an impressive first afternoon on the job. "It was fun to get the shoulder pads back on and throw it around."

He did a lot more than that.

Stafford reaffirmed his status as the leading contender to claim the starting quarterback position for the team's Sept. 13 regular-season opener at New Orleans.

He stood head and shoulder pads above veteran Daunte Culpepper and third-year pro Drew Stanton of Michigan State in passing drills throughout the 1- hour, 40-minute practice session in front of a few hundred spectators.

He looked sharp throwing the football.

He has a much shorter, quicker release.

He has a firm grasp of the playbook, complete command of the huddle and, according to veteran center Dominic Raiola, the respect of his teammates.

"You gotta learn quick," Raiola insisted.

So far, Stafford, 21, continues to set himself apart from the competition -- just like he did in offseason workouts and during minicamp in July.

Aaron Rodgers is playing LB in the new "roadkill" package.

Scott Wells is practicing throwing the ball as he's our new emergency QB. Ironically he'll still be playing center so I don't know how he's going to snap the ball to himself.

Apparently the NFL has forced the Packers to hire a full time barber to meassure the LBs hair so that they stay within the 10" or less rule.

After watching the LBs practice, LBs coach Kevin Greene stomped off the field and later showed up in full pads - with a new 1 year contract. A.J. Hawk was informed of his release to make a roster spot for coach Greene.

UDFA rookie WR Jordan Norwood has looked really really good in Browns camp. On pace to make the team perhaps.

Browns rookies look pretty good, especially RB James Davis who could be a real steal in the 6th round. Considering how solid the OLine and RBs are, the Browns should have a pretty good running game this year if nothing else.

The energy level at Jets practice is now through the roof. Players on both sides of the ball are animated and yelling. A fakeht was just instigated by Darrelle Revis, Rob Turner and several other members of the offense and defense to try to break up the tension.

The second fight of Jets camp has broken out in less than 10 minutes with DT Howard Green taking a swing at one of the offensive players. The two units immediately converged on each other again.

The first fight of Jets training camp broke out. RB Thomas Jones seemed to take exception with a hit DB James Ihedigbo put on him and the two started pushing and shoving. The scrum was, however, under control within seconds.

The Jets are fighting! Rex must love it. fake fight?

Broncos RB Peyton Hillis, an Arkansas native, chose country music for the team's warmup period Monday, much to the dismay of his teammates. "Not only is it unacceptable, but it's unconstitutional,'' LaMont Jordan said.

Maurice Drew has started a new trend in the Jaguars lockerroom: Beards. You aren't a real man amongst the Jags unless you're sporting one.

In other news, Jaguars rookie wide-outs Mike Thomas and especially Jarrett Dillard looked good in practice today. Thomas looked effective in the first practice session playing out of the slot, and Dillard showed the ability to create separation at will subbing in as a flanker.

Rashad Jennings continues to look VERY good.

Hell yes, Rex is loving this stuff. Bet he broke it up by his 350-pound+ self, a kickass, in your face, feisty rah-rah kind of coach is just the kind they needed. The Jets posted the 1st training camp brawl of the season, didn't even make it to 10 AM to go to Fist City:

They say frustration always is the cause of fistfights -- after last season's disappointments, is anybody more frustrated than Gang Green?
