Someone young / desperate. The pay out might be ridiculous. Who ever fixes the Raiders is going to look like a genius, if it's even possible.

Last I heard, Jim Fassel was pretty interested in the job. Dont remember where I read that though, but he was one of the only people interested.

death is a genius then. Al's gotta go if the raiders want to win.

I like his odds, before he took the Las Vegas job, he was really pushing for the Raiders job. I still think he's definitely interested and probably the only choice out there.
          Is that a rash?

No, Kiffin fired himself because he is a douche and full of himself.

Jim Fassel deserves a 2nd chance. I'm surprised he's been blackballed this badly. The guy wasn't that bad of a coach. He was a soft guy, but he did get results. Theres no denying that.

Hopefully, this is just the idiots in the Cleveland media throwing **** at a wall hoping some will stick than having any true merit.
If it does happen I would think we bring in a DC for the 4-3 but I'm not sure.

"Had a meeting to discuss all the reasons he was being fired". LMAO, that is just a great quote from a douche like Al Davis who would say something like that. I would have no idea why someone would want to go coach in that black hole other than it would be a job in the NFL.

Seriously, Al makes it such a point to assassinate guys after they leave, then probably sits in the dark wondering why no one will coach for him, and where it all went wrong, and why no one will coach for him. He thinks it twice because by the time he gets to the second thought, the first is gone forever, like tears in the rain. Time to die.

Hub Arkush, the guy who runs profootballweekly.com, said that Fassel has had trouble getting a job because he has a reputation around the league of being too friendly with the media. I guess he would go drinking with them, etc.

As to the Cable being fired bit...It's hilarious. Al is going to keep killing coaches because his crappy draft picks keep busting. I'd defend Cable for getting that team to show signs of life if it weren't for one unforgivable sin: the incredibly stupid refusal to put the ball in Michael Bush's hands. That man needs to be the starter.

Then again, that could be Al, too. I dunno.

So frustrating to watch. That team would be easy to fix if Al weren't around ******* up the draft and depth chart.

What if the Raiders sign Mike Leach?

I'd almost guarantee that the decision to give chicken legs McFadden more touches than Bush is coming directly from Big Al.

If anyone deserves a 2nd chance it has to be Gilbride. Fassel must never have a HC job again because his "Are you trying to get me fired" statement is never forgettable.

Ryan is not going to leave his pal Mangini. He can be tried as HC if Mangini is fired. Count him out for at least another year. lol.

Harabaugh is a high prolific head coach now so that means he will want more power if hired as NFL head coach. This alone will rule him out as Raiders HC easily.

Gilbride knows how to tap on players' skills and transfer them into a game. Raiders are loaded with physical talents. Both sides should meet at halfway. If he wants to be a successful as head coach then he has to hire 2 coaches with tremendous "hand on" skills for his coordinators.

Fassel has a reputation for mentoring QBs & as mentioned they have too much $ tied up in Russell to release him or make him the backup, so that might bode well for his hire.

Actually I think Al Davis high-5ed Cable when he sucker punched an asst. & no charges were filed...... wholelotta Raiders fans on that Napa Co. grand jury? Assts. are expendable in the Raider Nation. Cable may stick around another yr. of Davis abuse & his lips firmly pressed to the wrinkled ass of youknowwho
