You're crazy if you think 50% of players would cross the line. Only 15% did in 1987...and ratings/attendance did NOT stay high. I remember the game between the fake Eagles and the Spare Bears that season. About 4000 people showed up. There were more people outside heckling the replacements (the Eagles real players were out there with them) as they walked in than there were watching the game. Good luck paying even the electric bill like that. The Lions drew 5000. At a Saints game, the people who showed up chanted "stay on strike" in support of the players during a game. Average attendance was down quite a bit during that season. It was so bad that most clubs actually offered refunds for the replacement games.

Your idea of breaking the union is not going to be all rainbows and gumdrops. It will be even uglier than it was back then. This time the players are actually saving money in anticipation of a lockout.

You may be too young to remember, but the next time the TV contracts were negotiated, the owners got a much worse deal than they had pre-strike, too.

It's incredible that you like this idea. Do you sit outside mills that are on strike and cheer the scabs when they walk in?

yeah, but I don't think fans are going to take the players side this time around. Just cause the amount of money they make...but then again who knowss.

Yeha Idk where he is getting these redic numbers, really 50% will cross the line? For what, less money than they were making before. This new so called CBA would be all for the owners the replacements just want to play they know they won't make money like NFLPA. The new terms would suck ass.
