  • Likely Scenarios for Aso

Throw out ideas and trades that are a possiblilty with Al Davis and the star CB. Many teams could use a shutdown corner back. I wish I could say hes not going anywhere but the old man doesn't know what to do anymore. Where shall he go if he goes at all?

He won't leave. If so Seymour will be pissed he stayed. He wanted to help build a championship (or atleast respectable) team in Oakland, not have the best player and others get traded.

Zygi isn't afraid to spend money, send him to Minny.

          Tennessee's 2010 1st and a 2011 3rd.

          Make it happen Reinfeldt.

Finnegan + Aso = world domination

I would hope the jets would give us something other than the 29th pick..watch Al try and get Damien Woody..yuck.

I think Revis and Aso would be a level up. But of course Finnegan and Aso would be lethal, might be able to win the division next year if that goes down with the Colts and Texans throwing it around.

I already mentioned this in the Raiders forum.

                Jets
                2010 1st round pick (29th overall)
                2010 2nd round pick (61st overall)
                2011 1st round pick
                DE Vernon Gholston

Of course, we would throw a couple of draft picks the other way to balance it out. Financially, Aso's contract is apparently deemed to be untradeable, well, so is Gholston's.

Well the Pats could use a corner but drafting Darius Butler was good, and he would make that defense ALOT better but think about it there isn't an elite reciever in that division anyway.

I agree. But we run so much zone it would be a waste of Aso's talent anyway.

For the Jets, however, it would be sick - they'd be able to run cover zero all day and blitz opposing QBs into the fetal position.

The league needs to stop being dumb about inconsequential stuff like revenue sharing and CBAs and band together to make sure this never happens.

edit: I'm sure a freak physical specimen like Gholston would interest Al Davis.

Doesn't Aso have some sort of ridiculous contract right now though? Teams might not want to trade into that.
