  • kamerion Wimbley strongside LB in 4-3

Kamerion Wimbley will play strongside linebacker in the Raiders' 4-3 defense

Cable likes Wimbley's size and ability to rush the passer. He also likes how Trevor Scott developed as a weakside linebacker last season

        Goodbye Thomas Howard? Hrm.

I'm in support of the idea, simply because that means more blitzing for Oakland, but Oakland quite clearly has 1 linebacker too many right now.

This makes me think about the Chiefs signing Kendrell Bell and moving him to OLB in a 4-3 and how well that worked out...

I can't help but laugh at this. Wimbley is terrible in coverage.

I don't mind this move, anytime you have a primary pass rusher in an OLB spot, your intention is probably going to be to use stunts and schemes to give him a free run at the QB. Oakland needs more pass rush pressure, so hopefully they are smart enough to give this a chance at being successful.
