Hmm, very, very tough decision. For all the lauding Butkus (rightfully) receives, Ray Nitschke was just as dominating of a player in the same era. It's similar to Lambert and Gradashir in the 1970s, although Gradashir gets overlooked because of how pitifully average the Broncos were. It's still a similar 1a/1b dynamic, though.
And then there's same Sam Huff. Tom Landry created the 4-3 defense to feature Huff as a dominating MIKE backer, and he was one of the few people EVER to be able to slow Jim Brown down.
I need to mull this one for a bit.
There's going to be some damn good MLB's who are going to be left off this list.
All the guys you mentioned along with guys like Chuck Bednarik, Willie Lanier, Harry Carson, Nick Buoniconti and a few more HOFers too.
Just let it go RWO.
We as Ravens fans are clearly scum of the earth, and should just be happy that these great people, who cheer for nothing than the finest, morally impeccable players, playing on the finest, most morally impeccable teams, will grace us with their presence, and words of wisdom.
