I don't have a problem with Ray Lewis being eligible for this. I don't think he's going to do anything over the rest of his career to change his career ranking. I wouldn't have personally voted for him for #2, but I can see an argument for it. I didn't end up voting for #2 because I think the #2-6 guys are pretty much interchangeable.

With that said, I'm going to suck it up and vote for one. I'll say Mike Singletary (4?) here.

Ray is still building his case and the man simply wont slow down. Butkus is tough to argue with though. Im on my droid right now at a staff meeting.

Ask them what they think. Should Ray be eligible?

Active players I think should be included:

            Favre
            Peyton
            Brady
            TO
            Moss
            LDT
            Tony G

The only ones on that list I'd be okay with are Favre and Gonzales, since it's pretty much a given they'll retire at the end of this season. The rest still have a handful of years where they can significantly impact their position on the rankings.

Bednarik was mostly an outside linebacker, wasn't he?

I remembered him in the middle, Frank Gifford would know, or maybe not.
