Remember when this was unquestionably Haynesworth? You know, that bench guy on the Redskins.

I'm a Wilfork homer but Ngata probably has to be the guy. D-Ware, Clay Matthews, Peppers, and Wilfork are right there too.

Suh was the first name to pop into my head.

Let Suh dominate for a few more seasons like Ngata, then we'll talk.

Tons of guys that are playmakers whether it is 3-4 or 4-3 but first couple names that popped into my head were Ngata, Wilfork, Suh, Ware, Matthews.. etc.

Orakpo is in my top 10 to start a team with. (front 7 wise)

Any elite DT, Wilfork, Ngata. Suh ( young and dominate) etc....

I think a good DT is certainly where you start when building a defense.

James Harrison is flat out the best defensive player in football in all aspects of the game. The big boys can't cover like him and the quick guys can't outmuscle him. And nobody, I mean nobody, outhits him.

No Trent Cole? I'm not saying he's the best but he's better than most of the people on this list. Why he continues to be so under-rated is beyond me.

Lump me in with the pile of people repping Ngata. He's my choice and it's not even close.

Ngata pretty easily for me. Doesn't care what scheme or anything, he changes games literally and has been dominant for awhile. I also don't know that Clay Mathews has passed Ware as the best 3-4 OLB personally, but I do think he's right there.

If we're talking about the present, I'd say DeMarcus Ware. He's the best.

If we're talking about the future, I'd probably go after Suh. Getting a DT like him is priceless.

honestly, give me P-Willy. He can do it all, and you need the MLB to be the captain of your D. he's fast as a mofo, a sure fire tackler, smart just everything you look for. Give me Willis.
