You clearly havent seen our offence every game this year. We lack a go to WR that you can trust. Murphy, DHB, Ford and crew either have good games or just dont show up on the stat sheet(literally). Miller is our only consistant catcher. Campbell has shown that if he has a running game he can win us games. We need a C and RG/RT right now and a vet WR. Im not saying Campbell is the answer for us and our future QB but he can win with good players around him. Im all for us drafting a QB in the 3rd after we draft a olinemen in the 2nd

Gene Smith did it with the defensive line in Jacksonville. He signed Aaron Kampman in free agency, but still drafted four or five defensive linemen in the draft. You can't rely on one aging veteran to be your savior, and teams do that far too often.

I agree. That's why if I were the Rams and took him I'd still take say Justin Blackmon.

Also the Pats are pretty sexy, but again if I'm another team even in the NFC I don't know that I want to help the Pats anymore. Watch them get Steve Smith for a 4th, Deangelo Williams in Free Agency, and Cameron Heyward in the draft among others. That sneaky Bill Belicheck....

Does this means that Carolina will take a deep consideration in A.J. Green?

Inconsistency from the WR position has a lot to do with the fact that your qb is terrible.

Look at what Bradford is doing in St. Louis with guys off the street. Give a good qb those weapons and you'll have a dynamic offense.

Passing on a qb for an olinemen has proven to be one of the bigger mistakes teams have made recently in the draft. The old thought that drafting olinemen early is a safer pick than gambling on a qb is a myth. Look at the dolphins passing on Matt Ryan, or St. Louis making the mistake of taking Smith over a qb (they lucked up and landed Bradford the following year).

You can find your RT and C later in the draft. The Raiders aren't going anywhere until they get a qb. It's much more important to do what you gotta do to get that qb than wait another year so you can land a RT early instead.

Right now there wont be any good value on QB's in the 2nd, maybe you forgot we have no 1st. I dont think Ponder or Delvin are 2nd round QB's, more of 3rd. I dont see Locker falling either.

Sam Bradford is a bad example, since he really is the only rookie QB other than Matt Ryan to put up #'s like this. And our offence isnt really focused around the QB. Our best players are at RB and we need to get them the ball. Campbell may be captin check down for us but that still means DMC/Bush are getting the ball. DMC had a 67 yard catch on a checkdown for us last week.

I do agree with you though that you should never pass on a QB in the top 10 if you truely dont have a starter.

Right, I forgot you don't have a 1st. My bad.

I wonder if it would be possible to move into the 1st round somehow? I'm expecting 1 of the 4 qbs to be there in the mid 20s.

Or perhaps trading a 2nd for Kevin Kolb? I personally think Kolb sucks, but perhaps others don't feel the same way.

There's no way they should even consider AJ Green (should Luck declare), unless they really think that little Jimmy can amount to anything, which at this point is a grim outlook.

I think it's Andrew Luck or bust for the Panthers.

I wouldn't want him on the Pats... love him as a player but I'd want someone with height
Pats have enough WRs that are my height... a nice tall target (Baldwin, Green...???) would be nice

He is/was a great player but I've heard that he is a huge asshole too. I know some people at school who are big Panthers fans and they said that he told a girl who was probably 7 or 8 years old to "**** off" when she asked for his autograph, and I don't care who you are that is messed up. He is definitely a hard worker and has shown he can be a difference maker, but he is banged up and could be damaged goods. He has needed a change of scenery for a long time, I will say that. I don't really want him here to tell you the truth.

Kolb doesnt fit what we do here and I havent seen anything that says he can be a starting QB yet. Id gladly trade up into the 20's if a QB fell, but I dont see any falling right now. There are alot of teams that need a QB and there is 4 1st round QB's IMO

                          Smitty <3 =(

I still remember him taking over that Bears game and almost single handedly carrying the Panthers to a SB. I hope he can go somewhere and win.

                          mucho props to wiscbadgerfootball

I don't think so. They've been moving towards younger guys across the board (it looks to me like the offensive line is going to be the next step), and the chemistry this team has is just awesome. I don't think they'd take an aging, potentially disruptive guy like Steve Smith.

Yeah. Plus it is true, we have enough small receivers. If we're going to bring in a receiver, it's going to be a bigger guy.
