Hard to rank them because of different schemes, but I'd take Ngata over any DT in the league.

I'm sure every franchise would love it if they could have every DT in the mold of Ndamukong Suh......a once in a decade talent.

I wish every CB was more like Deoin Sanders too

And I'm arguing that he didn't outplay Ngata, Suh, or Raji.

You're wrong here. Look at Jared Crick at Nebraska. A very similar skillset to Suh. And there are a lot more players like him that play every Friday night throughout the Midwest. The only problem is that they are largely invisible to Rivals, Scouts, Inc., and the other services that are "the experts" in finding and grading players.

Williams had a great season from the games I saw, but I'll still take Ngata or Suh over him easily.

                      1-Haloti Ngata
                      2-Kyle Williams
                      3-BJ Raji
                      4-Antonio Garay
                      5-Ndamukong Suh
                      6-Jonathan Babineaux
                      7-Vince Wilfork
                      8-Jason Jones

Ngata plays end so enough of the hypothetical.

                        1. Wilfork
                        2. Suh
                        3. Kyle Williams
                        4. Raji

Sure, if Ngata played tackle every down instead of rotating inside and out then he would be the top guy. But he doesn't he's the best 3-4 DE in football, possibly the best DE in general.

Within Baltimore's defense I think Ngata is listed as the DT, Gregg the NT and Redding the DE. Anyway, end in a 34 is closer to a 43 DT than 43 DE, so you can consider them DTs in rankings.

Which is why the whole question is ridiculous.
The roles of 3-4 NT is totally different than a 4-3 DT.
While 3-4 ends and 4-3 DTs are similar in terms of size, they once again do not have the same role.
It really is ridiculous to have a list with both at the end of the day.
Both Ngata/Redding are listed as DE by the Ravens btw.
Gregg is the only listed NT I believe.

This is correct. My mistake. Baltimore is one of the few teams, if not the only that lists two of the three down linemen as tackles in a 3-4.

I'm not saying best but there sure are a lot of guys being listed above the guy that has a lot to do with the lowest rush yards per game in a LOOONG time.

                                Silverback....still the best.
