I didn't say the owners should bow down and do what Cromartie says. I said they have likely dug in and are doing what they feel is best for them. Nothing wrong with that, two different sides going after two different things. Cromartie's intellegence isn't the issue between him and Hasselbeck. Cro is looking to make his money and rightfully wants to make what he can while he can. He has financial obligations to take care of and he wants to be able to do that. If your union was forcing you to strike and you had a child and mortage to take care of you might worry too. Should he have said it? Probably not. But saying 'Sit in a room and get the deal done' isn't far off from what needs to happen....

Hasselback taking a cheap shot isn't 'correct' as you state it to be otherwise he would have left it up. If unity for the union is the goal, two wrongs don't make a right.

You clearly overreact in your response. Your need to use **** doesn't drive your point home but instead makes your response look stupid. Cromartie's response of a physical threat was dumb, agreed. But his response doesn't make Hasselback's right....

Under/Over an hour it took Cro to read that one tweet then type out his dumbass response?

Props to fenikz on the awesome sig

No point in Hasselbeck doing that, but if Cromartie doesn't want to be called an idiot he should stop being one.

My swearing isn't intended to make my point correct, it's just something I've gotten used to. And Cromartie makes plenty of money, so the only reason he would be hurting enough financially that he would be speaking out against his own union, is stupidity.

The fact of the matter is, Hasselbeck believes strongly in the players union's case. And a player that has repeatedly tested out as one of the dumbest players in football spoke out against it, so Hasselbeck made a joke about how stupid he really is. He is allowed to make a joke every now and then, and maybe Cromartie should own up to being a total jackass.

Not everyone is going to go "RA-RA" and throw up the "1" sign before games like they are boy scouts united as one. Cromartie wants to get paid and take care of his prior child support mistakes. Its understandable from his point of view. He wants to play football and not have to worry about the future of the game.
At least Hasselbeck actually tried at his craft.

Hasselbeck comes across as a bit of a joke to get involved in a pissing match like this.

                Hasselbeck made a joke.

It was mean, offensive, and funny.

Cro responded exactly how an unintelligent idiot would respond.

Then Hass apologized for embarrassing a ******.

Hass made a mistake and acted like a cyber-bully, but owned the mistake and apologized. That's about all he did wrong here.

The whole thing is very, very funny, and only slightly related to Cro's stupid rant (which is a different issue altogether but did prove his stupidity even more - hence the Hass joke and this "story").

Meh I hate Unions and just about everything they stand for so maybe that is blurring my view but I have no problem with what Cromartie said.

He really is on point, both sides need to get their heads out of their asses and get a deal done, a little sense of urgency from either side wouldn't hurt.

Right now the players seem to want to play politics, that is all good but at some point you need to understand that to play politics you need to have money or at least control, they have neither. The owners can shut it all down and not one of them is going to go broke, hell depending on who you believe some of them may well be better off, the players on the other hand have limited time to make money, many will have financial problems as a result of a lockout, they are the ones who will need the medical treatment, they literally have nothing going for them right now.

This isn't even a typical union type situation where a strike can kill the business, there are millions who would step up and play, people will still watch, out of fascination if nothing else and I dare say there will be plenty of players that are willing to cross the picket line and go play, right now the players union just seems incredibly lost, now Cromartie doesn't help their cause by pushing that out in the open but now we all know that the players union completely doesn't have its **** together and that it is already starting to show cracks.

Whether Cromartie is right or not also doesn't make Hasselbecks comment any less funny, being a ***** and pulling the comment is really about the only shot you can take at him, was a good witty comment as a reply but be man enough to stand by your comment.

Im surprised everyone is ripping into Cro for this, BBD and Vilma are completely right on this.

First, cro is stupid. thats great, lovely, great to point out. But the essence of what he is saying is very representative of what fans are feeling right now. We dont really care who wins, we probably all feel like the players deserve the cash, but in the end we just really want to see football played and have this worked out so it doesnt wreck the season. all the posturing by smith with his rants and goodell with his 1$ salary (his income is based mostly in bonuses, thats purely a PR move), who freaking cares? i just want football.

Hass made a joke that was kinda low and personal and cro flipped in a childish way, **** happens. Both didnt have their finest hour here, whatever. But cros feelings on the cba, those ought to seem like

Cromartie threatens to smash Hasselback's face in? HAHA. This coming from a guy who can't even tackle and is afraid to get physical when making a 1 on 1 tackle. Cromartie needs to shut the f**k up already. He's becoming the biggest b*tch in the league today. And he somewhat has his role model, Rex Ryan to thank for that. Again, another classless player from a classless organization.

PS. Cromartie still didn't respond on what CBA meant.

IMO when you talk as much stupid ******** as Cro does...any shot taken at him is deserved and completely fair game.

Because the owners constantly taking advantage of the players is just wrong and the type of lazy, uninformed, quick-fix attitude conveyed by Cro is what hurts their case and leaves them with grave health risks after their careers and less than their deserved share.

I just want football also but I don't want to see the owners reap the majority the benefits of this great league and leave their players with no health care after their careers (which is an average of 3.5 years long).

EDIT: I mean I really don't care THAT much because I really don't want to see the lockout spill over into next season.

But if you have any shred of decency you should be on the players side and not the money-hungry owners, who really don't mean that much in terms of the awesome product we see every Sunday.

And what Cro said played right into the owners hands.

Therefore, I am against Cro saying it.

if the NFL is a message board, Cromartie is the biggest troll.
Matt had a clever shot at Cro (that was hilarious) Cro resorted to a threat, and Matt backed down because he was actually kidding and doesn't take twitter seriously and has an IQ over 50, unlike Cro.

Cromartie needs to just shut up. we get it, you had a few sweet INT's/returns a couple years ago, sucked massive dick, and now talk a ton of garbage because you're on the jets. you're a moron Cromartie, deal with it, keep your mouth shut, and let the grown ups (or those with grown up IQ's) let a deal get done.
