BREAKING NEWS #maxxclient Tiki Barber has filed the papers with the NFL to officially come out of retirement.
Just came out of no where. Wonder how much interest he will get?

35 year old running back that's been out of the league for 4 years? I'm sure he'll get tons.

    RIP TheManInBlack

Seems like this story is genuine. What is Barber thinking? He hasn't played since 2006 and will be 36 next month.

I always thought he retired early but to come back out now.....

More power to him. I hope he's successful but I get the feeling this won't last long.

He's apparently broke and got fired by NBC. Didn't even know that.
          Just play me, baby

Why would he do this? He can't really think he has anything left in the tank. Or really the bigger concern would be his durability not his agility or athleticism.

Yeah... Not to mention the irony of retiring to save his body, and then trying to be a running back at 36, after 4 years of not playing. If he gets signed, he'll get injured. Bank on it.

              Also, Karma is a *****.

I heard he was in some financial trouble so I'm not surprised at all that he's trying to make a comeback.

Dumps his '8-months pregnant' wife for a 23-year-old intern, gets fired from his $300k job and now says he's broke.

I would like to know how much the MLB/NFL/NBA would have to pay players before they're not broke less than five years after leaving the league they played in.

                    I really would.

any word on whether he dropped the pen when he went to sign the papers?

Supposedly the Giants will still control his rights at first. Probably gets released right away but still...anyone actually think he'll be in a training camp (assuming there's football)??

Nah Coughlin fixed all that and actually made a great RB out of him. I gave Tiki a lot of credit for leaving when he was still at the top of his game. However ever since then he's just stuck his foot in his mouth over and over again. I've never seen a very good player in NY fall from grace as quickly as he did.
