Okay I see where it says that on wiki
with a metropolitan population of more than 1.3 million.[2] Jacksonville is the third most populated city on the East Coast, after New York City and Philadelphia. It is the central city of the Jacksonville Metropolitan Statistical Area, the fourth largest metropolitan area in the state.
    Still!
The Hampton Roads area has been dieing for a team(especially since the Nats went to DC)
Carolina could also move but things seem okay there

Toronto. The NFL is the only sports league out of the big four that doesn't have a franchise in Canada.

There is no way they'd give Tennessee another team.

Actually L.A. is the largest city in America by land area. But if the Packers can survive and thrive, then Jacksonville can too.

Anyway 32 is a proper number. Especially with 8 divisions. What are you going to do, add 8 more teams? Some team will go downhill one of these years, and move to L.A. It will happen eventually. I still don't know about the Saints for instance. There's the unsteady Vikings ownership. And when Al Davis goes, what happens to the Raiders?

And most of those numbers are 2005, so they are higher now since Jacksonville is one of the top five cities in America in terms of expected growth over the next five years...

And they also draw off of Orlando, Daytona Beach and northern Georgia. Sorry bud, not going to happen, not with the Jags, and especially not with Dan Snyder roaming in your general vicinity...

The NFL shouldn't expand. It's about perfect how it is now.

And the pop around here could be close to 2,000,000 and growing and what can Snyder pay people to keep them away??

Actually, we're both wrong, Juneau, Alaska is the biggest geographically, but of the 48 continuous states, it is Jacksonville then Houston. LA is only about 450 sq miles compared to Jacksonville which is about 750.

I didn't include the population of Daytona or Orlando... Daytona is only an hour and a half from the stadium...

The NBA allstar weekend there was thugz mansion. Imagine having a team there. Im highly opposed to the idea.

ok wait a min here the reason why the nba allstar weekend was that way had far less to do with it being in vegas rather then the type of crowd the nba brings. The nba has had issues of that for some time now and it had nothing to do with it being in vegas you might just hear about it more in vegas being that its always on the spot light. I will bet the NBA allstar game next year in new orleans wont be much better.

Secondly the reason why there hasnt been any large market teams here in las vegas has alot to do with it becoming a large market only very recently. I live in vegas for the past 12 years and it has grown from 300 thousand to over 2 million in that time spand. The only other reason why they would hesitate to bring a team here is for the gambling on sports which can be an issue. Other then that i dont think because they feel vegas is a thug city they dont want to bring a team here thats just dumb.

The fact is vegas is one of the fastest mayb the fastest major market in the country and there is a ton of money here and what speaks louder then all the issues is when a franchise sees the money it can bring with a pro franchise here. When you have casino owners building billion dollar casinos left and right and you have a million toursist visit vegas a week its a very appealing place to put a franchise.

San Antonio. Texas = Football country. Plus they already have the Alamo Dome.

Well, when talking about this land area, it's Duval county only. You can include the surrounding counties for fanbase, but ther reason Jacksonville is largest in the 48 is because the whole (large) county of Duval is included. Other cities only count a smaller area as a city, but are regarded as larger because of population and the massiv greater areas.
