No downside to having Junior. Bolts needed ILB depth this year and always in the back of my mind I wondered if AJ's icy heart might melt a little bit and sign him, but this is the nail in the coffin.

for him i say play as long as your heart and body allows. if he can still pay at that level and if he still loves it then more power to him. play on, play on.

<+BOE> Scott, with Burfict's character concerns (whether legit or not) you think Pioli would draft him. :D
<+ScottWright> Why not. Baldwin does need a sparring partner...

Well I suppose he is, good depth if Bruschi doesn't play well this year, cause it's

              Colvin-Bruschi-Vrabel-Thomas

              Right? Can't start 5 linebackers.

Great move. He was outstanding before he got hurt last year, and really, it was a broken arm. That won't slow him down at all. If he can give us half of what he gave us last year, we're going to be in really good shape

Morton Andersen still kicks. He's in season 25. The man doesn't go away. he was playing when i was 2. He's 47 (born in 1960)... He would also be 26 seasons if he didn't play europa for a year.

Favre never gets hurt though, Seau always gets hurt.

yeah but our weakness at LB is probably Bruschi at SILB..he hasnt made plays and once Seau went down...our run d got worse because Bruschi couldnt hold strongside responsbilities..maybe the wrist or maybe just decline in skills b/c age but w.e it was..it wasnt pretty

Thomas can be interchanged inside and out with Vrabel..Outside suits his skills best as a pass rusher but at 270..hes gotta be able to hold down strongside inside at times but unlikely now with Seau back. if we want the run stopper we have Seau to come in

Yep. He has taken the place of Ted Johnson.
