  • Green strikes unusual deal for his number

I thought this was a good read about what Jason Simmons wanted from Ahman Green to get his beloved No. 30 from the long time Texan.

It's not really funny at all. A very nice jesture by Jason Simmons, giving Green his #30, and giving money to charity. You just wish everyone could be like that, then the world would be a much better place.

Really shows the character of a guy like Simmons, who is far from being the highest paid player in the league, and could have just as easily taken the money for himself. How many guys would have done something like that? Jason Simmons, if you posted on NFLDC, I would give you + rep, sir.

How can anyone be a long-time Texan? They've only been around for like four years.

                    Good read regardless.

I understand what you mean and it is true but it's still cool to hear it. I mean it beats the typical you get your number for fifty grand story which is what people expect. And it was creatively done, which is even cooler.

Don't belittle it; it was a nice gesture.

I was having similar thoughts, but 2007 will be their 6th year.

Of course, to answer the question, Simmons was a charter Texan.

NFC North right ends are shaking in their cleats.

Or @ least they had better be.

Who cares? Green is dead to me now.
