Don't know if this has been discussed yet as it is very far fetched, but what if by chance Darren Mcfadden drops to us. It isn't likely but isn't out of the world of possibilities if say a team before us takes Ryan and a guy like Braden Albert goes early. I know we have Mcgahee but he doesn't have the best track record with injuries and while he is very consistent getting 4 yards a pop he isn't very explosive or capable of breaking the big one. We always have been a team to draft best player available, and if he was there we he definitely would. I mean for a team who will have an awful passing game the best way to help that is a dynamite run game, I think they would complement each other well and would kind of be like the Reggie Bush pick. They already had a pro bowl RB but couldn't pass on the threat he would bring to their offense, I don't know just something I was thinking about.

No. BPA is definitely a strategy that the Ravens like to utilize but taking McFadden would be a bit extreme considering how good McGahee has been, how much we are paying him, and the amount of needs we have in other areas. We need to attempt a trade down in that situation and if we can't we just go in another direction.

I take McFadden if he is there at 8 and then I make an immediate call to Jerry Jones and start working out a trade.

yea I would shop the pick 1st, we could get a 2nd get Chris Johnson and he will be a dynamic back to compliment McGahee, and whole lot more. But If we dont work out a trade I would like him here.

Try to trade the pick. If we could not trade the pick I would pass on Mcfadden. I just don't think that he is going to be that dominant RB in the NFL. His whole game is based on speed. In college he would just run by people. You're not going to be able to do that in the NFL. He doesn't have that skill set to run between the tackles IMO.

But if paired with Mcgahee he wouldn't necessarily have to run between tackles on a consistent basis. 3rd down back, change of pace, reverses and such. With a weapon like that, 1 play with him can be the difference in a game, one long TD by him could be the difference between a win and a loss than say drafting a 3rd-4th CB on the depth chart. I know we have needs but with one pick if you can pick a game changer I don't think you pass, I know the finicial downsides of it but even with Yamon if Devin Hester were in this draft and I knew what that he would be the NFL player he is now, I'd still draft him. Willis isn't a big play threat, he's a consistent 4 yard guy but will never break the big one.
