  • He is right, I will say confidently that we will beat any other 2nd tier team 90% of the time. But most of the time against the good teams we will play them close but we mess something up.

    • I honestly agree also. We are a 2nd tier team. Defense isn't elite like it used to be and the offense isn't consistent enough. However, its still good enough to win it all. We need to get into the playoffs and just play our best football. Beating the Steelers, Jets, and Patriots is extremely tough and we played close games in all of them. A couple of good breaks and we could have those games later.

      • Im not saying it isnt possible but it looks like we will have to beat KC, then NEW then PITT all in a row to make it to the superbowl then we gotta take out ATL. Assuming every top seed wins except us. I could see us winning 2 games but it seems like whenever we play a good team something didnt play its best. If everyone can play there best I agree we can win the whole thing. But IDK if it will happen

        • The defense will have to carry the team, if we have any chance in the playoffs, because the offense simply wont do much as long as we have Cam.

          • I spent a good 10 minutes on an NFL playoff simulator and our 3 likely opponents in the playoffs will be

            Indianapolis
            Kansas City
            Jacksonvillie

out of those 3, obviously we match up best w/ Jacksonville or Kansas City, facing Manning is the obvious nightmare for us Raven fans.

some other things I got from messing w/ the simulator

We can lose to Houston and New Orleans and still make the playoffs

We should become huge Jacksonville Jaguar fans over the next 2-3 weeks, especially next week vs. Indy, if they win, they clinch the South meaning we won't face the Colts in round 1.

Root for the Raiders and Chiefs as well.

Root against Indy and Pittsburgh :)

mathematically, we can still lose 2 games and get in, but we'd be relying on other teams as well, I think we lose to New Orleans, beat Cincy, Cleveland, and Houston.(w/ Houston being the toughest)

            • 5 things Baltimore must to do win tonight vs. the Texans
              1) Defense MUST make several big plays.
              2) Get consistent pressure of the QB.
              3) Control the ball on offense, take your sweet time.
              4) Do not throw the ball 30+ times.
              5) Find a way to get Rice, Boldin and Mason 5 catches each.

Don't forget, containing AJ. We got killed by White, and AJ is only better.

                • Dannell Ellerbe inactive again, lets enjoy some more crap next to Ray Lewis.

                  • Lets just run the damn ball. I hope that Flacco has a big day in the air because the Texas have been weaker on pass def.

                    • yeah, our linebackers wont be able to cover jack ****. Look for Foster and Daniels or whoever goes over the middle to have a big game.

and please for the love of god, keep Tavares Gooden off the field.

                      • ya I been a fan of gooden all this time but the dude just simply isnt good. He is as fragile as samari rolle, as soft as Fabian Washington also. Overpurses more then any LB I Have ever seen too. Now that Ellerbe is doomed into the doghouse for the rest of eternity we are stuck w/ either Gooden or McClain :(

Indeed we are. Our #2 ILB seems to be taking on more of a WLB role this season though so I don't think we need a "thumper," but somebody who's good in coverage. I think we should play Ayanbadejo more, since he's a pretty good coverage LB but I doubt it happens since Mattison is about as good at adjustments as Cameron is.

                            • Greg Mattison...

                              GTFO!

That 2nd half and in particular the 4th quarter, was one of the most pathetic displays of defensive play calling I've ever seen. ******* pitiful. We are lucky to come out with a win. Lucky.

That was embarrassing. Every time we go to that stupid ******* 3 man rush and drop 8 we get torched for a quarter or two and then lose a ******* game. I hope Greg Mattison gets run over by a golf cart during practice or something, then maybe we wont keep blowing gigantic leads.

Also, I swear, if Cam Cameron throws the ******* ball on a 3rd and short again Im going to hunt him down and kill him myself.
