  • Baltimore Ravens Draft Prediction

Well, it's finally here! The NFL Draft is on thursday and I can't freaking wait. This is the deepest draft since 2004 and it will be extremely hard for us Raven fanatics too be displeased.

However, before I get to my mock draft did you guys here the latest rumor? Apparently, the Bills and Ravens have a deal in place that would have us swap picks #25 and #41 in exhange for a draft pick(s). The Bills would then select Tim Tebow...I wonder how I would feel about that. Especially if the Bills gave us a 3rd or a next year's one. Who knows...Should be interesting if it goes down.

25th overall, 1st Round- Jermaine Gresham TE Oklahoma- In my mock draft I have Kyle Wilson, Jared Odrick, and Sean Weatherspoon all off the board. With this draft being so deep we will gladly take Gresham with our first round pick. Were a very young team and this pick stabalizes our offense. We have a top 5 rushing attack, solid offensive line, a franchise QB, WR, and now a TE that can take the pressure off Flacco that can stretch the seems and take advantage of those underneath zones. Gradually we are building ourselves the best offense in the AFC North.

Honorable Mention: Sergio Kindle OLB Texas

57th overall, 2nd Round- LaMarr Houston DE Texas- We lost some solid defensive lineman in the offseason and some youth along the defensive line is needed. Houston provides the frame, strength, and motor to play as a 5 technique defensive end. He's a versatile player along the line and can even play some 3 technique. I'm a big fan of Houston's and believe that he can eventually be something down the road.

Honorable Mention: Patrick Robinson CB Florida State

156th overall, 5th Round- Jacoby Ford WR Clemson- We need a deep threat that can also provide some electricity among the offense. Ford and SPiller combined to make the deadliest combination of play-making ability in the ACC. He's a guy that can not only reuturn punts and kicks but can take a screen pass all the way. He's a game changer and I think he could be a steal down the line.

    Other Consideration: Joe Palwek

157th overall, 5th Round- Darryl Sharpton ILB Miami- He's a hurricane LB. Last time I checked some of the best LB's in the NFL including our very own Ray Lewis is a former alumni of Miami. Sharpton is a heck of a LB who has some injury concerns. I know we drafted Jason Phillips last season but at this point Sharpton is to good too pass up. He'll make an impact on special teams and has starting capability down the road. Such a good 3-4 market this year!

194th overall, 6th Round- Brandon Sharpe OLB Texas Tech- A pass rushing specialist only. He's smallish and has a bad frame so he will be man-handled in the run game. But he has potential, look at the stats. Was a great pass rusher on a bad defense.

I'm buying the Bills trade..But as for a mock with no trades. That's my prediction! Thoughts?

Where exactly have you seen that rumor?

As for the draft, I like the first two picks but the rest are pretty meh. I don't think Ford has any more ability or potential than Yamon Figurs has/had, and the LBs are just a waste of picks. Neither would make the team.

where did you hear about that trade? I'd love for us to trade down but I haven't heard anything about that.

I'm super pumped for draft day as well. we wait way too long every year!

I for one, see Dez Bryant falling, I doubt he'll get by Cincy, but if he does, I can see him falling to us.

I just cant imagine Dez falling past San Fran at 17...Can you imagine how stacked the 49ers would look if they drafted both Cluasen and Dez..

the Niners have many other needs

          CB - Wilson or Haden
OL - Iupati, Davis, Williams, ?Campbell?

Singletary is a run first guy, I know Crabtree and Bryant would be absolutely nuts, but I think he'd wanna lean towards building there o-line and improve there defense.

plus, would they really want to take a chance on another WR that might pull a "crabtree" and hold out because he "thinks" he's worth more?
