I'm sure it's because Okam has the frame to be a successful NT. Where as Dorsey looks to be more of a swing NT/DE guy in our scheme.

We here it is my latest draft thoughts.

Desean Jackson is going to whoop up on Cason this weekend and shows us all why he is a lock for a top 5 pick.

We need DL talent...why not bring in a DT/DE hybrid. Langford is a guy who I have pegged for the mid first day...however he is going to put up some great numbers this offseason. If we finish in that 20's range he should be right where we want him. He would fit great in a one gap scheme.

Well our biggest need still isn't addressed. Zack Bowman although isn't ranking high now...he is the guy people have forgotten about. If he shows he is back in tip top shape this offseason he will carry a mid first day grade. He almost declared last year but only got a 2nd-3rd round grade from the committee....look for him to have above average workouts and be in the 2nd round range. He will drop due to being a JUCO transfer and because of back to back knee injuries. But if he checks out healthy...no doubt about it we get a steal here.

Okay, here's my current Cowboys mock. It's a wierd one, so brace yourself.

        1a. Early Doucet, WR, LSU
        1b. Terrell Thomas, CB, USC
        2. B.J. Raji, NT, Boston College
        3. Craig Steltz, S, LSU
        4. Justin Forsett, RB, Cal
        5. Matt Flynn, QB, LSU
        6. Brian Witherspoon, CB, Stillman
        7. Demetrius Bell, OT, Northwestern St. (LA)

Welp dat Jacks vs. Cason match up was abit underwhelming. It's seems they weren't even matched up agianst each other most of the time. Desean had 3 rec for 23 yds, while Cason had a pick. Kinda disappointed they go each other more.

              Didn't Raji redshirt this year?

Only pick I support right there is Terrell Thomas. He's my favorite CB in the draft.

                  Pac 10 bias?

But really what puts him over a guy like Cason in your opinion.

I'm curious to see your top 5 or so corners in college football. I wanna see your rankings. I'll get mine up right after yours. I just don't wanna influence you :P

1a. LT Jake Long - Could single handedly put our OL into the Elite Category and make Romo a perrenial Pro Bowler.

1b. CB Terrell Thomas - Physical aggressive corner that understands how to play the game. Puts himself in good position and has great instinct. Good in run support, great open field tackler and not a liability in coverage. He's perfect for WP's scheme, imo. Reminds me of Antrel Rolle at Miami.

                    2. WR Adarius Bowman - Physical specimen. #1 potential. Polished.

                    3. NT Red Bryant - One word. Intense.

                    4. RB Ray Rice - He'll be criticized for being undersized and should fall to the fourth round. He could go higher, but I'm yet convinced. Other juniors that declare will have an impact.

                    -- I don't like to go beyond Round 4.

I just said he's my favorite. Rankings are different.

I do think he's a good fit for our defensive philosophy.

Rankings? Here's a shot in the dark.

                      If I'm Wade Phillips...

                      1. Terrell Thomas
                      2. Aqib Talib
                      3. Reggie Smith
                      4. Chevis Jackson
                      5. Malcolm Jenkins

                        Current CB rankings

                        1. Justin King, Penn State
                        2. Aqib Talib, Kansas
                        3. Antoine Cason, Arizona
                        4. Reggie Smith, Oklahoma
                        5. Terrell Thomas, USC
                        6. Zack Bowman, Nebraska
                        7. Jack Ikegwuonu, Wisconsin

King is the only guy I've seen this year that could match up against anyone in the NFL and shut them down.

Talib is your classic physical guy...but he has great hips.

Cason is about a solid as you can get...I see him about the same as Leon Hall a little better athleticism but not quite as instinctive.

Smith is raw but if he puts it together would look nice.

Thomas has some injury concerns. He reminds me of Rolle out of miami just with injury concerns..

Bowman would be the top corner in the draft had he been healthy this year. Everything comes down too if he lost any athleticism with those injuries.

Ikegwuonu has those questionable character concerns. But is another big physical corner that is playing great this year.

Pretty good list there. I left out Cason cause I don't want to include anyone under 190 pounds. Bowman just doesn't look the same so far this year though he's got the frame and athleticism to make something of himself.

I know you like King as you've stated for a while now. I dunno. I'm not sold just yet.

As much as CB looks like a big need this coming draft, I personally think the need has only been magnified by TNew's injury. Without the injury we have two very good CB's who are both still in there 20's(Henry might be 30 this year) and a bunch of "good enough to play in certain situations" type players. Sure it would be nice to have a rotation of three GREAT cb's... But they cant all be on the field at the same time for a majority of the plays. And we have too much money invested in Henry to be thinking he can be nothing but a NB...

                            Just my two cents.

                            Looking at DT prospects...

Seeing as Im on the other side of the planet... Is there anyone willing to do some decent updates on some of the prototypical 3-4 NT's this year?

Just looking at this sites rankings(well. Ok just looking at the names with there height and weight) and names that stood out for me...

                            BJ. Raji 6-1 340
                            Frank Morton 6-2 331
                            Henry Smith 6-3 315

Theres also a few 6-5 fellas... But they might be a bit tall...

We def. need a CB. Henry could still start next season...a first round corner doesnt have to start. Reeves and Jones arent good at all...ST's i like em sure but, neither is much of a corner and Reeves is a horrible fit for Wade's D...he is god awful in man coverage. Our depth is just flat out awful.

                              Thanks BoneKrusher^
