Assuming we resign Columbo our OL will look like this:

    LT - Flo 6'7" 340lbs.
    LG - Kosier 6'5" 305lbs.
    C - Geroude 6'4" 312lbs.
    RG - Davis 6'6" 360lbs.
    RT - Columbo 6'8" 320lbs.

Wow! Obviously, chemistry will be important, but will there be anyone in the league with a bigger OL than that?

I would feel even better if Davis came into camp around 345.

I still don't understand the "big tuna" thing.. but on subject: Davis should be whipped into shape before preseason, hopefully. I'd love to see him at 345 340 ish at the beginning of preseason.

Coaches and fans have said that since he came out of texas, and noone has succeeded. be happy with 360. The good news is his weight wont be a factor like it was at LT.

Well, at this point in his career I think we can knock off 10 to 15 pounds and he'll be fine. I'd just prefer to see him at 340 at the beginning of preseason.

I too think he would be more effective around 345-350.

Agreed, 365 is way to big for any position.

360-370 seems like a lot, and it is. But he's played at that weight for his entire NFL career, and is more mobile than some think. I don't really care if he gets up to 400 as long as he's not allowing an interior pass rush to get at Romo, and knocking doors down on run plays for Barber.

Sounds heavy, but it's not for him. His ability to carry the weight well is the difference. He's not a blubbery man.

It's a part of the reason why he moves defenders out of the way. I don't want him to lose a pound.
