We dont even need Barber, so long as Felix stays healthy. But he's always getting banged up so, it doesnt hurt to have Marion as well. haha.

    Thanks BoneKrusher^

I'm not getting on the running game hype wagon. When your best running formation is the shutgun formation...that isnt' going to work in december when it matters.

We haven't exactly been playing smash mouth football...but the production has been great...

Seriously, is Bobby getting slower? geez. I mean, he's always played slow but, he looks like he's running in mud this year.

Piss poor tackling by our D, but they did hold Carolina to 7 points with awesome run D and nice bracket coverage on Steve Smith.

This D is different every weekend. Will be nice to see them hold teams to 7 points the rest of the year though. lol.

Ware didn't get a sack but he pressured Jake ALL NIGHT LONG into making mistakes. He's so disruptive every time he's in the game. Stats won't show it, but anybody with eyes on him would notice... monster against the run too. MONSTER.

I wouldnt say all night long. Jake had plenty of time to throw a bunch of times. I thought the rush in the 1st half was piss poor, constantly contained.

            Thanks BoneKrusher^

Jay Ratliff/Jason Witten/Barber are the only 3 consistant guys on this team. You know what you are going to get every play. These guys should be the leaders on the field.

Ware/Newman/Romo - these are the top 3 players on the team but scream inconsistancy.

Just something I thought we should touch on.

                Thoughts/questions after the game:

                1) Relief - we got out with a win, even if it's a little "homely"
                2) It had been so long since we got a turnover I almost didn't recognize them
                3) Could Tashard Choice be our best draft pick from the 2007 draft?
                4) Is anyone else a little disappointed in Bennett? I'm not seeing the matchup chaos he was supposed the create, and it seems like he has trouble executing. He's still young so he may come along this season, but after the way all the writers raved about him in TC, I was expecting more.
                5) Why don't we target Austin more?
                6) I now join D-unit in questioning Spencer's value. He did make some plays in coverage, but he's not the pass rusher that was sold to us during the 2006 draft. Butler showed a lot more.
                7) Do you think the Cowboys will practice tackling skills more during TC next year?
                8) Newman is still a top CB

Tashard Choice is good but, you're fooling yourself if you think he's anywhere near as good as Felix.

                  Thanks BoneKrusher^

Oh, I agree that Felix is far more explosive--when he's on the field. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to be able to stay on the field for very long. I'm starting to have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach about him. I will be happy to be wrong here, though.

As much as I thought we'd be ok, this team is still getting used to NOT having TO on offense. That drop by Roy in the endzone was disappointing.

Ken Hamlin is JAG. He's got some issues to work out. His head isn't even in the game. Wonder if the money has had an effect...

I didn't see Scandrick... Did anyone else?

Jenkins was very inconsistent... from missing tackles and giving up TDs... to his INT and getting the refs to call that push off penalty from Moose... An up and down game to say the least.

Newman was having trouble wrapping up, but steadily got better as the game went on.

Bradie James... yuck. Barbie Carpenter triple yuck. Brooking... not bad.

Ratliff stud. Igor and Marcus avg.

OL....2nd studly game in a row. Loving them right now in the run game. ...penalties have to be cut down.

                      Did Felix get hurt?

Choice is the best 3rd string back in the league.

WRs need to be more apart of the offense.

Sam Hurd and Miles Austin are nobodies.

I actually thought Spencer had a very good game last week. Today... not so much.

Roy's drops shouldnt surprise you, he has three on the season already and he's a known drop guy. Makes the difficult ones look easy and the easy one look difficult a lot of the time.

Scandrick did well in coverage, had a nice hit on the sideline late in the game.

I think Jenkins played very well tonight, Rosario's TD bleh but, he was solid, imo.

Run blocking was studly but, Colombo was terrrrrible in pass protection. Tony was forced to make a lot of plays with his feet today because, the Panthers were getting good pressure.

Yes, Felix strained his knee and left the game.

Sam Hurd barely gets to play in the offense, I dont know what Miles excuse is. But in fairness to Miles, he doesnt see the field a whole lot either. A lot more than Sam but, he's not seeing as much time as I thought the 3rd guy would get.

                          Thanks BoneKrusher^

I'm coming in to give some credit where credit is due, and sing Flozell's praises. I don't give a flying **** that he has two false start penalties a game, he's still beasting it out there. Shut down Peppers after shutting down Umenyiora, and made some very athletic plays on the outside run game. He's playing at a Pro-Bowl level again, and damn is it helping the run game.

I thought Romo looked a lot better today. There was a few times where he should have stepped up in the pocket and he didn't, and made some errant throws, but overall he played very well. It's exactly what we were talking about last week. He's the easiest to control on offense. I do think they need to get some more Roy Williams in there, he made some pretty sweet plays.

Also, Roy's ball in the end zone wasn't a drop, the CB slapped his arm after he was kinda bobbling it.

Speaking of which, Jason Garrett is a ************* moron. You all know exactly what i'm talking about, and that **** is just ridiculous. Wade needs to go over there and slap some ******* sense into him.

It was a drop. It hit him square in the hands up high. That's a play a number 1 receiver should have no problem making. Granted, T.O. probably would have dropped it also.

                              Thanks BoneKrusher^

It's hard to get into a rhythm when you're targeted once a quarter. He probably should have made the play, but i'm not gonna ride him for it. We had no business throwing it to him anyway. WTF is the point of throwing two fade routes at the one yard line when you've been owning all night on the ground.
