Our secondary is so sad... Wade is dialing up the blitzes... the DBs are just getting beat. The tackling is piss poor.

We have no leaders on the field. Ray Lewis doesn't let this stuff happen.
Ray Lewis has A coach the team can believe in to have them in the right scheme. He has a QB that the defense can believe is gonna keep them off the field.
I'm the biggest Ray Lewis fan here, but please please do not act like he would make any difference with this defense. He is the most motivational guy in the world of football. It doesn't matter.

The one guy not giving up on plays is Brooking, I see a guy break free and get nothing but arm tackles and jogging to catch him. Brooking is giving everything he has. No Brooking isn't loved like Ray Lewis and ya you all talk about how "Shot" he is. I'm not comparing him to Ray by any means, but do not sit here and tell me any amount of Heart can make up for the lack of faith and the lack of coaching.

These guys are professionals, doesn't mean they don't need coaching just as bad as High Schoolers.

    • Quite Frankly I am not sure how some of you are rooting against us and hoping for losses. I don't care how bad you want a High Draft Pick, this is your alleged "team". You should be rooting for every single player on the team. Yes, you have the right to critisize them, and even hate them. But to sit here and root against us so you can get a High Draft pick is a joke and you all should be ashamed of yourselves.

First off even if we get a high pick Jerry Jones will blow it.

Second off you have guys on this team that are NOT giving up unlike most of you and most of the players. Guys like Barber, Dez, Brooking, McCann, Witten. And obviously a few others.

Third off if you guys keep rooting against the Cowboys you need to find a new team. Did you root against us in the 5-11 seasons under Campo? Did you root against us when Parcells came in? How about when Switzer was here? How about Jimmy? How about Wade last year?

4th the problem here is the coaching I do not care who you think you are or how respected you are on these boards you are blind not to see it. There is no life on this team. The players can do so much of it. There is no discipline, this team has turned into a all Me in team kinda deal. No one is playing for a team. There is no team mentallity

5th This reminds me of Switzer after JJ left. He inherited a good team and killed it. Wade inherited BP's team and is killing it.

6th Take a look at DeMarcus Ware (One of the best players on our team) He isn't even preforming like he used to. Now you can say he is "shot" like everyone else on this team or you can look at the bigger picture. He isn't getting better every day, if you don't get better everyday your going to get beat.

Point is, so many people want to talk about how bad we are and I understand that, but DO NOT disrespect the team that I love and root against them and call yourself a fan! You should be disgusted with yourselves for doing so and if your not you need to take a look in the mirror and see what kind of person you really are.

      • Oh relax. It's the nature of the game. When the season is over, fans typically hope for losses, to get a better pick...which will, in turn, help the team in the future. The season is a lost cause...I want wins too...but if they lose, I'm perfectly fine with it. I'm not openly rooting against our guys...but if we lose, I'm not going to rage, either. It helps toward draft position. All fans react to bad seasons in different ways. Ultimately we all want the same thing, and that is to win a Super Bowl...however, this season is a lost cause and winning now, isnt doing anything for us. We all love this team, dont try to discredit that.

And as for heart and all that good stuff...yeah the team is down in the dumps, morale is low. But our overall talent is immensly overrated. We have no O-Line, outside of Ratliff the D-Line is average, horrible CB play, below average safeties, incosnistent LB play, a horrible ST unit, regardless of personel. We have a big ole mess on our hands, it's not all about scheme or effort.

Who's to say this team wasnt overachieving? Based on how they're getting beat down now.

        • I don't root for losses because I'm too emotional to like losing. I've given up hope for this season a long ass time ago, but I can't be happy about a loss at all. Especially for a draft pick since there's no guarantee that a guy is going to be great.

I really want Peterson, but he's no sure thing. There's also the crazy amount of money that top 5 rookies make. Yeah the new bargaining agreement might mean lower rookie contracts, but I still have a feeling that a top 5 pick is going to be pretty expensive.

Then there is the losing culture that could be developing. You can't cut every single player, so next year's team will have plenty of the same faces as this year's. I don't like how they have gotten used to losing so quickly. Will the same thing happen next year if they lose a few close games early again? I believe that a good coach can come in and turn things around, but it's a serious uphill battle to change the culture.

Obviously everyone wants to win, I don't see a top 10 pick being a lead to winning. Look at recent drafts and look at who is in the top 10 consistently.

When your scheme is bad your players are exploited. With that logic who is to say the Team that won 3 super bowls wasn't overachieving? I mean they went 5-11 three years straight soon after.

You have to motivate the players, to motivate players they need to believe in something greater than themselves. A scheme, an organization, a team, something.

I don't disagree that many are giving up but the only way to fix that is to make them feel like there is life beyond this year, or this game or that game. Only way to do that is to get someone new in here.

For an example here, look at the Chicago Cubs in baseball, underperforming talent all over the place all season. Lou Pinella retires and Quade comes in and all of a sudden its a new team.

A change has to be made, I don't care if it is Garrett, Campo, Decammills whatever. Heck knock out the entire coaching staff for all I care. You need someone that knows how to win games and how get a team to a super bowl. These coaches don't motivate this team and it is extremely obvious.

The scheme isnt doing them any favors...but honestly, our talent level has been overrated. We have Ware/Ratliff on defense and then a bunch of guys. Most of which are playing terribly. We have no O-Line...Garrett is terrible, but no one is having success calling plays with that offensive line. We cant run anywhere. There are no holes at all. That's not going to change. The line needs to be blown up. We have serious personel issues there.

Obviously that dynasty team in the 90's wasnt just an overachieving squad...that makes zero sense, first of all. I was more talking about the fact, that we had a bunch of average/above aveger teams with BP here, and then we won 13 games, one season under Wade. With a lot of the same personel. And FYI Wade still did more with this unit than BP ever did with it.

I dont know what you want exactly...a coaching change is coming. We just may not go the interim route. Wade is 100% gone next year. The season is over...Garrett taking over this year, isnt going to ignite some fire in this group. Most players on this team dont even trust the guy. He's always being questioned. We'll still be looking at the exact same schemes. We'll still have the exact same O-Line that cant block and the exact same secondary that cant cover. Nothing is going to right this ship this year.

Next year begins a clean slate...our players will be talking **** and putting themselves in the playoffs in the preseason, like they do every year. The mentality will change with a new coach and a new year. It really doesnt matter if we make a temporary coaching change this season at all. A top 5 or so pick, will only help this team. It may not be the quick fix to propel us in the playoffs, but an elite talent addition, would certainly be welcomed.

              • To be honest, me wanting Wade fired immediately has more to do with seeing if Campo could get a response from the defense than Garrett getting a chance. Garrett is just as much a problem as Wade is right now, so I wouldn't care for him to be the interim guy. Give Campo a shot at D coordinator and maybe the players will give a **** for the next 8 games. Anyone can be the coach, I just want to see if Campo still has it in him to be a good coordinator again.

                • Meh...it doesnt matter to me. We need to let the incoming coach have free reign over his coaching staff. Maybe if Wade was allowed to pick his own offensive coordinator a lot of things would have been different these days. We dont have much on the coaching staff worth holding over. I really like Decamillis and Sherman. But Decamillis hasnt done anything with the ST and well, Sherman is worth keeping...that wouldnt make or break a staff.

                  • I have been hoping for losses like a lot of other people on this board and not caring if Wade coached through the end of the season. I'm beginning to think that could be harmful for the future of this club. A lot of us are thinking that when Romo comes back next year we will snap back into shape. I'm now thinking that this kind of environment could be ruining good players on this team for next year. I don't think we can stand pat, play it out with Wade and hope for a top 3 pick. Something needs to happen to keep from ruining next year as well.

                    • I do agree with the above post in some way. This may be scaring the mentality of the players. Jenkins, Scandrick, Felix, etc.

                      • I really dont see it making a difference. A replacement is coming from in house. It's already dysfunctional and the mentality isnt going to change this season. We may make a change...but we're still going to suck, regardless. So the players morale will remain pretty unchanged, more than likely. I wouldnt worry about our young guys getting some kind of losing mentality from this...they're professionals, they all have the same goal, and that is to win. If players let one bad year, weigh on them or change their outlook on winning, then they shouldnt be here anyway. We're probably not going to see any real change in this team until next season.

                        • I'm just worried jenkins is scarred.

Atleast he didn't give up a TD i guess.

                          • Jenkins could use a good kick in the ass. He plays with a certain swagger and thinks he's better than he is, sometimes. I mean, he can be fantastic...and was last year, I just think he gets a little lazy at times. He doesnt have the greatest attitude, but he never did. When things go great for him, they really go great. And when he gets beat a few times, he can look downright bad.

He can be as good as he wants to be, imo. It just remains to be seen, what exactly he'll do with all that talent of his. He def. seems to give up, when the goings get tough.

edit...He should only get better with better safety play, as well.

                            • I agree with you MOTH about Jenkins. Last year he played like a top 10-15 corner, so we know he's got the skills to be great. His play has declined with him getting picked on more. Yeah Ball sucks balls, but Jenkins is still making too many mental errors. He's too much of a front runner. When things go his way he's the king of his side of the field, but he is wilting under pressure.

He needs a guy on the field that'll keep his ass in line. Newman has elevated his play again despite his injuries, but he's not really a leader. Sensy is decent, but not leadership material. The secondary needs someone like Woody back there again. He kept things organized on D, and I don't think we've seen a defensive leader like him since he retired. Jerry should be looking for the next Woody(I know how horrible that sounds lol) like he was looking for the next Troy.
