Opinions are what we are looking for, but to just flat out say "if Garrett isn't the hire this franchise is going in the wrong direction end of story" is just baseless. You don't even know who we are going to interview yet. Continuity is doing Tennessee so great huh? Fisher being there so long has won them so many SB's. Kubiak in Houston has done so well.
Then again maybe KC should have kept all their same coaches, because rehauling and starting new with Haley, Crennell, and Weis hasn't really done anything for them. A good coach is a good coach, whether it's Garrett or another guy, I'm keeping my options open. I don't think it's as simple as your making it out to be like he NEEDS to be the coach.
I think he's earned it, but this organization deserves to treat the process seriously and take the best fit.

enough of the guys who have been in the business for 30 years with grey hair. Time to get a young, brilliant mind.
I believe in Garrett, and that's who I want.

Here's something to think about, if Fisher does indeed become the next HC (rumors are really picking up) we become a potential landing spot for Albert Hanyesworth. He will be cut by Washington this offseason and his reputation around the league has really been tarnished, however Jeff Fisher had him playing like the DPOY back in 08. Albert will be cheap and is still relatively young, Fisher knows how good he can be. He would make that move to a Fisher 4-3 much much easier. Thoughts?Cowboys Mock:
1. Myles Jack | LB | UCLA
2. Vernon Butler | DT | LA Tech
3. Karl Joseph | SS | WVU

Wanna talk about a coach that can help this team? Talk about 3-4 DC candidates.

I want to keep the 3-4, but I will say I wouldn't be totally against the 4-3 if we brought in the right coaches. As much as people say it'd be easy for Ware and he is athletic enough to make the switch, you just get nervous about making a change like that when you have a guy as talented as Ware.
Haynesworth I want no part of. As dominant as he can be, he is way too hot and cold, it'd work on a team who could get the most out of him but lazy players usually don't come to Dallas and then start to work hard. We don't even have the type of leadership to keep him in line, Witten & Ware won't get in his face to tell him to get his **** together.

Switching to the 4-3 wouldn't hinder Ware at all. He's better in a 3-4 because he can roam, but it's not like he wouldn't get a chance to do that in a 4-3. Just look at how being in both the 3-4 and 4-3 has affected John Abraham's career. He's been great in both, so I can imagine Ware being a beast in a 4-3."If you have one finger pointing at somebody, you have three pointing towards yourself."

This brings us to Garrett. In 2008 he believed Brad Johnson could be a serviceable backup and was proven to be wrong. In 2009 he was high on Stephen McGee, who was picked in the fourth round. Questions remain about him, too.

What about the fact Austin and Choice never got a chance until someone was injured? I really question his evaluating abilities
