Deuce went down and it all went to hell. They had to count on Reggie a lot more and he got into this habit of focusing on him too much in the passing game.

I know Payton takes his share of bashings but, in comparison to Garrett the guy is an absolute genius. Our offense in his hands would be unstoppable, i dont have a doubt in my mind.

and to be fair...the Saints do have the league's number 1 offense at the moment.

    • You guys see JJ taking shots at Barber's toughness? Funny. JJ just keeps losing points in my book this year.

      Thanks BoneKrusher^

That would be my fall back plan, though. If Jerry does name Garrett head coach, i want him to do so w/ the intent of bringing in a veteran playcaller.
Umm.. who is the older brother? The older brother will always make things go "his way". I know this man. ;)

Seriously though, we need a change in scheme just as much as decision making. There are better options out there.

No, missed it. JJ as in Jerry Jones or JJ as in Julius Jones?

          • John is older. :D

But I do agree...I'd prefer someone w/ some real experience in charge of the playcalling.

The only time I didn't like Payton was when Parcells put the muzzle on him. The way Parcells handled Payton here was so disrespectful. Treated him like a kid. Didn't even want to give him a simple title as outright OC.

I thought for a moment there you had lost yourself. Bashing Julius is not an option for you. haha.

OK. I really was asking. Cause that **** is true about older brothers.

Any arguments with a WCO OC?

It's actually not a horrible idea...not really my cup of tea but, not the worst idea i've heard. I seriously doubt that would happen, though. Whoever we get will more than likely be balanced to pass heavy...hopefully, someone who likes to incorporate a little spread as well ala New England or Green Bay. I dont see us changing the whole dynamic and there really isnt a need too. We just need someone experienced in charge instead of Garrett, who is just clueless.

The West Coast Offense is not an easy thing to learn and for a team that wants to win now...I just dont see that type of move coming.

I don't hate him as long as he's not running for the Boys. He's not that good dude. He's an average NFL talent who has many below average days. His brother is way better.

I don't like it, Jerry acts like he can't communicate with his players and/or trainers, besides that it was the LAST thing he needed to comment on, no Barber wasn't the reason why we lost, we dominated the early parts without him and showed we could win without him...If he needs to get healthy for the stretch so be it, now that we know we are serviceable without him.

Anyone else happy about locking up Columbo until 2012? So that just leagues LG and LT to address for the future now, and we may can scratch LG if Holland returns and plays well, because Kosier is expected back next year.

I honestly think he can be just as good as Thomas...if he was given the chance. He's a headcase, though...so, he may never get that chance again. He was doing well this year and then he and Holmgren got into it and that was that. It does surprise me though that he has managed to put together a good season in a platoon because, he is a rhythm back. The definition of feature back because, he needs those extra carries to get in the swing of things. A rhythm and momentum kind of back.

and dont get me wrong...I didnt want Julius here anymore either. It wasnt a good situation for him or this team.

                              • Bradie James has been taken off of my "bench list"

I don't know how the light came on for him, but the second half of this season has been good for him.

He's been active, making plays in the backfield and coverage. He's been playing like he should as a captain.

I wonder if it has to do with Zack Thomas? New study habits? Taking a different approach to the game?

Bradie and KB look good together.

I'm a bit disappointed with Spencer thus far. I was as hyped as anyone about him. Wade referred to him as "unblockable"

If you're playing opposite of DeMarcus Ware, you need to pick up some sacks.
