Look at Bradie's direct comment on the issue. Smoke / fire. This is not the first time TO starts with his "MeMe" act and the team goes sideways.

Again, our GM is a moron. The minute Parcells said "him or me" ... TO should have found the front door.

Instead, we spent two years licking his ballz, enabling his "MeMe" and this year Garrett, Romo and Witten are now under the TO "MeMe" bus.

Frankly, I am sick of him and have said for awhile we are much better off without him.

In fact, we are overload at WR now with Austin, Williams, Crayton, Stanback and eventually Hurd.
I'm not necessarily attacking Werder's views, just his evidence. I think it's unjustifiable to stir up this conflict between two people and have it out in public when you haven't spoken to either of them. And I'm picking at the part of the article that seems most suspicious and weakly sourced. It's almost ludicrous to believe two people are actively scheming against you, especially when the day before we got the T.O. with the Rudolph nose saying everything's fine.

And I don't understand exactly how you interpreted what Bradie said. I don't know if you were talking about the source who talked about T.O.'s pattern of behavior on other teams or not.

But what is the worst is how Willie Parker whined about not getting enough carries today and nobody seems to care.

    • Ed Werder always does this though. True or not, he always leads the charge of Cowboy bashing.

I've seen no problems with the team on the surface. T.O. has said some things, but nothing like in the past.

Ed Werder takes it upon himself to come up with some **** like this.

I just hate him, I always have. If I ever see him, I will spit on him. I can promise everyone that. I would pimp slap him, but he doesn't even deserve that. He deserves spit.

Stay classy San Diego... Lol. But seriously I can't stand the guy either.

        • Thought this was cool:

          http://cowboysblog.dallasnews.com/ar...since-his.html

          Owens 20 catches (40 targets)
          Witten 18 catches (27 targets)
          RW2 10 catches (18 targets)
          Barber 14 catches (17 targets)
          Choice 8 catches (12 targets)
          Crayton 6 catches (8 targets)
          Bennett 6 catches (6 targets)

So, there are almost as many INCOMPLETIONS to T.O. than to the rest of the team. Spread the ball around Tony!

Anyway am I the only one who remember when the media made up that story about TO not knowing the playbook? Or that he tried to commit suicide? Or that he was crying on the sidelines because he was upset?
According to the media (or according to anonymous sources) TO was gonna explode from the very first moment he joined the Cowboys. Guess what? He's never been a problem for us.
Yes we see TO screaming and pouting on the sidelines but TO is a great competitor and a very emotional guy. He's the exact opposite of Wade Phillips, who is a guy that never shows his emotions. TO cried after our loss in the playoffs!
I remember when the Eagles went to SB and TO was yelling at McNabb, someone tried to say that he was mad at him. Well he just said "just stay relaxed".

As much credit as I can give Romo for igniting the passing game. You have to give as much credit to T.O for opening it up as it's been. While I'm confident that we have a pretty deep group there. I'm not willing to say it's a guarantee. Not by a long shot. And certainly not enough where I would keep Parcells who looked mentally exhausted by year 3 for a further two seasons.

I'll agree with you till the cows come home about keeping Sparano... But T.O makes our passing offence move. Without him we look ridiculously flat and every reciever on the field is covered up like wallpaper.

This is exactly 180 degrees wrong.

With TO the passing game revolves around him, the first read needs to go to him, passes need to go to him ..... and the rest of the team sits around waiting for scraps.

Reminds me of a basketball team where one guy gets the ball so often, and is the first option so often, the rest of the team just sits around watching as MeMe feeds his ego. Worse yet, this player can only get the ball on certain parts of the floor b/c if not he is ineffective .... like TO.

Angry Witting is getting the ball? OMG, give me a break. Having Prima Dona Big Mouth WR meetings alone with the DC? Dude, open your eyes!!!!!!!!

TO is a cancer in the locker-room and is 100% the reason why "Tony does not look happy" as many of the fannie boys where cheering earlier this year. This is total ADDITION BY SUBTRACTION.

Austin can replace TO in two minutes, complain less and drop less passes. Roy Williams will shut his f*ing mouth b/c he is essentially a follower and Crayton will be told you are further back in the depth chart unless you ****.

To say Werder is doing anything but reporting important facts is Ostrich-like.

I said this earlier this year and I repeat - our passing game stinks if it revolves around TO, TO is not what he was physically, he undermines the team and ...

.... ROMO NEEDS TO LEAD, not some scatter brain, abused as a kid, in-the closet f*g looking for a daddy figure like TO.

No surprise the GMen won the SB once they got rid of the MeMe personalities .....

So, he is fine according to you but emotionally out-of-control, targets others for his frustration but wants to be a team leader.

                  Ya.

all is cool at first and you had no idea why other guys dumped her,

That is the TO story. We dump him, Romo is happier and we play better football.

You misunderstand. I didn't say the passing game had to revolve around T.O. I just said he makes our offence tick. He's been utterly inneffective this year because teams are still doubling up on him(and any team willing to not do it has been cut to ****) This still hasn't stopped Romo from putting up just under 300 yards a game all season long.

It's not a matter of taking T.O out of there. The attention he demands is perfect for a team with as many offensive weapons as we have. The problem is and will always be that there is very little plays drawn up for anyone else. You said it yourself that T.O is the 1st look(probably the 3rd as well)... The coaching staff needs to sacrifice Owens ego and draw up plays which get anyone open(not anyone in particular... ANYONE) and run them from there.

You can point out the Giants getting rid of there cancer's to get to the Superbowl but the guy catching that final go-ahead TD just shot himself in the leg in a crowded social setting. Not the picture of a mentally stable man if i do say so myself. That's not even figuring his ego on the field(which while not as big as T.O's is certainly big enough to cause Eli to comment on him at the start of the this season when he was working out AWAY from the Giants training facilities.

T.O can still go. You don't have 200 recieving yards being lucky...

The coaching is poor and you are buying into the "blame it on the individual" when it's clear as all hell that the issue is in coaching.

Shane, we can all agree the coaching is not very good but this does not eliminate the fact TO comes up small in big games v. good Defenses.

He needs 4-5 seconds to get open and build a head of steam. You can't do that v good teams. What is so hard to understand?

Also, TO is not a good route runner and has lousy hands. He needs to get lumbering in a direction and have his eyes on the QB for a few seconds in order to catch the ball ..... like the WCO with the crossing patterns etc.

ANd as I repeat repeat, our WR, now, without TO would be really good as is and good enuff to win the SB with our D playing the way it is.

If the objective here is big TO stats in order to win -- it will never happen in the playoffs.

Sorry dude. again, the TO man luv makes no sense to me.

And certainly for a 35 year old with bad hands and poor route running.

1 playoff win ... and countless dead bodies. That is TO legacy.

When are you going to be objective? Give me a huuuuuge break. Your TO bias is UNREAL (hey, are you Jean Jaques Taylor?!)
Austin is gonna replace TO in two minutes? Yeah, of course!
Because it's not like TO is one of the best in the game, yeah you're right.
Last year when TO went down we couldn't ANYTHING on offense.
TO had 1355 yards and 15 TDs in 15 games last year, this is not something that your ordinary receiver does.

Should I remind you what happened a couple of weeks ago? You said TO was a cancer, he was useless, we needed to reduce his role in this offense. And what happened?
He had an amazing day against the 49ers, he had a great day against the Seahawks and he was our best WR against the Steelers. TO gave us the only TD we were able to score against their defense. And Romo was awful.
So keep hating on TO, he will shut your mouth again.

49ers? Wow. What a signature game by a WINNER! The TO man-crush is incredible and destructive.

He can get 300 yards on Sunday and I still hate him for all the reason noted, old dog with old tricks, bad hands, bad routes, needs 4 seconds to get open, bad attitude, selfish, another loser MeMeMeMeMeMe so emblematic of today.

1 right does not make up for 4 wrongs.

And, yes, I was the FIRST PERSON to say Romo stinks in bad weather and his footwork needed work to get balls out properly..... also the first to say we need to scale down the playbook with him and shorten his game ...... so no need to tell me about Tony and his errors of his ways.

Tony can play but he needs help from the Coaches -- not Meatball anything goes BS and certainly not Jason "whaddaya mean he is not Troy Aikman in the pocket" Garrett.

Yes because every WR this year has put 200 yards on them? I know they suck, but they just beat the Jets and Favre was able to do almost nothing against the same pass defense.
Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald didn't even have 100 yards against them. So yes, even though the 49ers are a mediocre team TO had an amazing game against them.

TO is a bad route runner? So what? There are a lot of good WRs that don't run great routes and a lot of bad WRs that run great routes. This is not TO strenght. Give the ball in his hands and great things happens, he can turn a 2 yards pass into a big play, just like Boldin.
Not to mention opposite teams are always focused on stopping him. This is why Witten is often single covered, because TO draw a lot of attention. Leave him in single coverage and he will kill you.
Let's see how he performs against the Giants, he has always been a Giants' killer, just like Modano has always been a Canucks' killer.
