I like the DMN blog because you always get quotes directly from the players.

BTB and any other fan site (outside of DC.com) is just a bunch of fluff pieces and ******** analysis

Rafael Vela is the worst. Dude thinks he knows all the formations and all the insight. I've watched games and read his analysis after and it's been completely awful. He knows nothing more than anyone that participates on this board, yet he acts like he's god.

    Prediction: 8-8, hoping: 11-5

    • Those same quotes can almost always be viewed on dc.com's multimedia page. Dmn blog is good once in a while but, a lot of it is just junk or re-hashed stuff.

      • I do think the underdog role can help this team.

Oh and did anyone see the article on newman's torn MCL in his sophmore seasona and he thinks now that its fixed he'll be better than ever? Im betting a boner for our secondary. Jenkins is my favorite i love the guy. Scandrick is fiesty as hell tho. Should be fun to watch them fly around. I remember Jenkins last second bat-down on jackson's deep ball vs. the eagles week 2 and just know he's legit.

        Here it is:

That's interesting. I know he isn't the one to make excuses, but that kind of gives hima pass for his sophomore slump...

If things fall the right way, we can be really good, I do believe that. Romo is focused and sharp, the backs are healthy, the receivers have all gone above and beyond this off-season to improve, Martellus has been unstoppable out there. If Garrett doesnt revert back to his previous ways and sticks to a shorter passer game in part and pound the rock a little more...we should be fine on offense. On defense, I feel we've upgraded at just about every position where we added, save DE. We've added great speed at all those positions as well. This was a solid unit a year ago and they look poised to be better than last year's group. Again, not making any predictions but, I really like what we have. Seems like we're under dogs once again but, this team can certainly surprise.
I should follow your lead. I know I said 7-9 wins but I don't want to be down on the Boys. I can't help but get excited for the start of a new season where anything can happen.

Whew, alot of stuff to catch up on, looks good and I'll read it but it'll take me a minute 2 catch up.

Is that the same Quincyyy from the other Cowboys blog sites? Never seem him post in this section before, but he's obviously way off base with his assumptions about you.

Is that what he does? Post at multiple Cowboys forums? Which? I get enough bread to chew on here. Reconfirms, the lack of substance that I think other boards have. Some guys just go to sites where all it is are fans from the same team pumping each other up and homerism thriving like weeds. At least here, I know we have diversity from opinions from other teams fans and guys who look at issues from different angles instead of everyone each out of each others asses.

                  • Hey guys... i've had some troubles lately so I didn't have the time to take a look at what's happening in TC. And I also don't have the time to read what you guys wrote in the last few weeks. So can someone tell me in a few words what's happening? Is Romo sharp? How about Roy?

That's why I like these forums. For the most part, people try and be level headed. There are some nutcases out there with access to the internet.

Good to see you around again. NFL season is nearly upon us. Romo and Roy have started to connect, but the week started out slow for sure.

Training camp coverage has been better than I ever remember. Lots of sites out there. Mostly positive news out there. Nothing really stands out as far as worries go yet.

You could probably just read the last 3 pages and know what's up.

Yea, I'm for sure he post on BTB and comments on DMN, and I think one other site, which is why I wasn't sure or not because he never posted here, but judging by his use of the word "we" it's him.

He makes some decent points, but it's hard for me to respect, or take anyone seriously who chooses to call someone ignorant as much as he does, or put words in peoples mouth, pet peeve of mine.

This draft class we probably won't know what we have for awhile, hell even if Williams and Butler pan out their not starters because Spencer and Ware are still young.

I just don't care to get into discussions with people who seem to get worked up too easily.

The concerns on the lines(both sides) are legit, hopefully at some point we address them...Hey, at least Wilfork looks like he may hit Fa.

The Jimmy Johnson point, about the trade value chart, and stockpiling picks for SB's is off though, back then weren't rounds much deeper then 7? I think over 10 if I'm not mistaken. Guys like Larry Brown I coulda sworn were much later then 7th rounders.

Well thanks for reading that. I'm sure it was at least minimally entertaining. I got a kick out of it. But now we're starting to spin in circles. I'm done there.

Romo has been sharp. Last few practices, though he's been a little off working in the 2 minute drill and some red zone situations. The offense has been sloppy there as a whole. This isnt anything to worry about, though...not right now atleast. They just started working on these and they're adding new wrinkles here. The majority of the time, he's been on point. He seems poised to have a big year. The Romo/Roy connection is slowly coming around...it's been a slow process. The timing is off and Roy has the dropsies quite a bit but, they've been getting better the last few days. It's not all bad, though. Crayton, Austin, and Hurd have all had great camps. Crayton is faster after working at Michael Johnson's speed camp, Austin looks like a receiver out there, running better routes and being more patient, and Hurd is bigger and faster and has been putting on a show...he's been called the most impressive out there by a number of on lookers. Crayton has a firm grasp on the #2 job and that will probably stay that way, heading into the year...according to Ray Sherman and Wade Phillips. Austin and Hurd will still be looking at a great deal of PT. They're all playing well right now. As for the 5th spot, Stanback is currently hurt and Ogletree has had a fine camp. Looks like he has quite the lead over the other guys. If Stanback doesnt come back and make some plays...Ogletree may just take his spot, he hasnt been back there but, he has returned kicks before...so he does have special teams value. So, there is a short little overview of what is going on w/ Romo and the Wide outs.

                              edit...

As for something else...Wade did say that Felix and Miles are most likely going to be our kick returners this year.

                              • The skins really scare me. Does it not seem like jason campbell is garbage vs everyone else but dominates us. What was he in week 3? like 26 for 30 with 2 TD's and no picks right? The additions of hanesworth, orakpo, jarmon. Portis always seems to get 5 yards a pop vs. us. The skins always scare me. It's like they have a certain mystic about them.

I swear to god i think we were cursed at texas stadium. I hated that stadum so much. Now its gone. I know this seems like a childish idea, but i just had a bad feeling with every home game.
