But you cant really say much now because, they seem to have struck gold with Steve Smith.
not really. not yet at least. teams will gameplan for Smith and take away his production.

against KC, it was Mario Manningham drawing the double team which left Smith open a lot, or they ran soft zones which Smith carves up. We're more of a WR by committee. Once Smith gets more attention, Eli will spread it to the other favorable matchups.

True, I am sure your offensive staff can adjust their scheme to the WRs. Plus you guys are a passing team, so I would think you guys can do that. And like we are proving this year, you don't need a # 1 game changer. Get me a smart WR, with good hands. I don't care about measurables and that stuff, and I am content. That's why I like steve Smith, and wanted Robiskie, who was compared to smith.

      • Jerry is all about adding the FA #1 WR or trading for that #1. Too bad he's failed at that twice now.

Well we were talking about building the receiving core through the draft. And for now atleast, the Giants may have done a fine job in doing just that.

Personally, I like what we have at WR. I still think we can get it straightened out but, right now it's a mess and Tony doesnt look like Tony at all. Confidence is pretty shot and he's become super conservative.

          Thanks BoneKrusher^

You guys have done a comparable job Id say. Like us, you don't have a true #1 drafted, but Crayton, Hurd, and Austin are comparable to our guys.

Crayton is a solid slot, I think he gets hated on too much, Austin is sort of like your version of Mario.

Neither of our teams have a true #1.

Not yet at least. Both teams have potential guys who can emerge, but it hasn't shown yet.

I liked Robiskie a lot, but there was no need for him when we already had Smith. I think Nicks will be the better pro. This was a very good WR draft.

            • Nicks is a player.

Our WR are good, we have a OC and QB problem right now.

              • Roy Williams may not play this week according to Wade. It's "in question". He has three injured ribs, no breaks but the cartilage is what is bothering him. If he cant go, I'm sure Hurd would start since he is the #2 X receiver. He's been coming in for Roy whenever he needed oxygen or was banged up.

I agree...I do like what we have. I dont think we need to be searching for replacements yet. We just need to get this straightened out. If it means shaking things up so be it. I want us to start Austin or Hurd, as early as this next game but, it wont happen.

                        lol.

We'll see. If I had to guess, I'm sure he would play and be just fine.

Theres no need to panic just yet. Like I said, if Romo plays like this all season, then yeah, you need that stud #1 WR to fix the offensive woes, but if he doesn't, all is well.

Just have to give it more time. Id be more concerned about the defense to be honest with you. TNew isn't who he used to be, and thats changed the entire complexion of this defense.

These 4 names are the only one's that interest me. Thoughts?
Evans is my favorite. I have liked the guy for awhile, but I don'tthink he'll command big money in FA. Let's face it, Roy is going to be the number 1 wideout in both scheme and dollars, so I'm betting a "cheap" fix might do some good. Evans won't be cheap, but I don't think he'll break the bank either. I don't think Jerry is going to give up on Roy either, nor should he do so just yet unless some really good deal comes along that's too good to pass up.

FA signing, but a lot of our offense was drafted, and others were signed at undrafted guys, or free agents at some point.

You have Roy Williams and had TO. On top of that 1 good RB in Barber, and one of the best TEs in the game. What else do you want?

I thought this was interesting.. Wondering if anyone of you saw this?

Romo didn't know it was fourth down? Maybe that's why threw it to Hurd again.

                              • Funny in here to actually see people suggesting that we go out and get another 50 million dollar receiver in Evans to go along with our other 50 Million dollar receiver.

                                Buyers remorse?
