  • Well Andre Johnson is a T.O. clone, and that's been said about him since college. He's got great speed, agility, and he's a bonafide playmaker. The problem with him is that he drops too many passes like T.O. Of course with his production you'd take those drops to get his ability. Roy Williams problem is all mental it seems. The first three years he looks to be like he'll become an elite receiver, and then things fall apart after that. He's gotta get his head right to live up to his talent.

    • Sadly, i doubt we'll ever see Roy Williams fulfill all of his potential. He has the talent to be the best WR in the league, but ever since his days at Texas, he has been plagued by a bad attitude, bad work ethic, and just overall apathy towards the game. I've read more than a handful of times about how he'd get into fights with teammates here in Texas, and how even his teammates thought of him as a lazy ass. That has followed him all the way into the league, and sadly, you can't get by on pure athleticism in the NFL.

      • ^ Yeah that's not going to cut it. He needs a reality check. He's feeling himself way too much it seems. He's not playing up to his contract, and he's going to have to get himself correct if he wants to play up to that. We've seen that he can be very effective, but he's got to keep that play consistent.

              • The big questions we've been asking are about to get answered. December is here, and it's put up or shut up time. I've been calling a huge Giant win for weeks now at home, and I am still confident in that. The schedule gets pretty damn hard this next month, and we're about to see if anything has really changed with this year's team.

There's no clear-cut best WR in the NFL for me because there are too many that I'd basically just a flip a coin for.

Congrats! 25K already? Must be a lot of fluff. ;)
                  Certainly.

                  • Season starts Dec 6.

When I looked at our schedule in August, I thought us going 10-1 going into this stretch.

                    No Tony Turnover .......

                    Giants (W)
                    SD (W)
                    NO (L)
                    Wash (W)
                    Philly (W)

.... and Miles finishes with 60+ Catches and 1,200 yards.

                    Tony Turnover .....

                    Giants (L)
                    SD (W)
                    NO (L)
                    Wash (L)
                    Philly (W)

.... and the D has at least one late game meltdown like Baltimore last year.

                    • If we can beat NY Sunday we can knock them out of the division race and probably the playoffs too. I really want to come out tough for these December games, looks like were going to make the playoffs and I really want that playoff win, but it be a great start trying to get a winning record in December.

                      • I dont think our offensive woes are over yet, honestly. We were lucky enough to see single coverage yesterday. The real test comes when teams start to roll coverages and start to double up Austin again. Because, the two to three weeks we've seen that, we were horrible.

Prior to the Giants game yesterday, I was actually expecting to lose this game in NY but, I'm a little more optimistic after seeing the Giants play yesterday. But if they decide to stick with the blue print that has shut us down...it could be another rough one. One that resembles some of those December games of the last few years.

                        Thanks BoneKrusher^

                        • Just a random thought....Felix is averaging 6.9 yards per carry...8.9 last year. What does he have to do to get more carries? ughhhhhh. He's only seen double digit carries once in his career and that was 10 whole carries.

I honestly wouldnt expect his yards per carry average to drop that much at all with a heftier work load. If he had enough to qualify, I think he'd be right up there around Chris Johnson when it comes to yards per carry. Speculating of course but, Felix is a really special back. I understand he's been injured but, he's healthy now...get him the damn ball.

You can double Austin all day but if you run short routes for him, it won't matter. He is a RAC machine. Yesterday is the first time JG actually made an effort to get him the ball on simple routes and use his RAC skillz to make plays.

Now if all you do is run him +20 yards one very route then the double wil effect him.

Just send Roy 30 yards downfield every play and let him threaten the Safety help.

Yesterday was easy...they single covered him all day. And tried a little bump and run. That wasnt going to work. This next week will be a whole other animal. It remains to be seen if Austin can be productive when he sees this much focus. So far, he's struggled with it and it has hurt our offense. This is what happens when you explode onto the seen. Defenses over analyze, expose your weaknesses and attack. Thus leading to some rough games for that player in the process. This week he is bound to see the rolled coverages again...it will be a great test and it may be difficult.

                                Thanks BoneKrusher^
