  • Broncos sign Casey Weigmann

    http://profootballexperts.scout.com/2/739184.html

The Denver Broncos have reached a two-year contract agreement with free agent C Casey Wiegmann (Kansas City Chiefs), Scout.com has confirmed.

Wiegmann visited with the Broncos on Wednesday. He's expected to be the backup for starting C Tom Nalen who missed 11 games last season with a torn biceps.

The durable Wiegmann started 96 straight regular season games with the Chiefs over the past six seasons and has started 136 games over his 12 seasons of play.

    Can he play tackle?

Does this mean Nalen is finished?

No way he is to small he gets pushed around by stronger players that being said good pick up he just didn't fit in any more.

No, it means the team wanted some veteran depth... which is a good idea considering Nalen's age and Hamilton's concussion problems.

However, it's only a short term solution. In terms of the future, either the Broncos think Mark Fenton can be the man or we'll see a mid-late round pick on a C.
