Unsure on compensation but NFL.com is reporting a late round conditional pick in 2009.

Any compensation is more than enough for me. Would've been nice if it was this year and it's too bad we got so little for him but I'm glad he's off the books. Hope for the best for him in Denver next season.

the only thing that is remotely good about this in my mind is that we restructured his contract, and now we aren't going to reach for balmer

Heres an ESPN article on the trade...doesnt mention what Denver gave up though.

I'm still for taking a DT in the 2nd or 4th round. Laws or Sims in the second still sound pretty good to me.

The Denver Broncos website is reporting the Jets get a conditional pick in 2009.

              Works for me.

Seriously, we needed this trade to happen.
Needed a veteran DT, because no way do I trust a rookie and Marcus Thomas at DT to start the season.

Keep in mind that the guy couldn't pass the Bengals physical...and the Bengals need a DT worse than the Broncos.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us take a tackle in the draft, but this removes it as an absolute need.
