I think that's a pretty good guess at the 53. Only a couple places I might look differently.

I have a feeling Anthony Aldridge will make the team, probably at the expense of Andre Hall.

Tyler Polumbus might displace Pears. Might depend on how much upside he shows and if Denver thinks they can get him through to the practice squad.

He's way undersized, but Josh Mallard seemed to find a way to make plays late last year. At the same time, I don't know who he can beat out to make the roster.

Some how for some reason unknown to all of Bronco fans Nate Jackson will make the team. Have no fear though as he will be injured by week 3.

I honestly see there being no way of a healthy Andre Hall being cut.

            1. When he had to fill in as the starting RB he proved that he can provide, be it as a rusher or recieving out of the backfield.
            2. His special teams ability alone will guarantee him a roster spot. Not only was he our best returner last year, but he was also impresive as a gunner.
            3. He is a great change of pace back, as he is probably the fastest guy on offense.

Overall, that is what you look for in a back up, someone who can contribute succesfuly on special teams. And he certainly gets the job done at both ends of the ball. Unless Aldrige really impresses as a returner, his chances of making the team over Hall are slim to none.

Now that Travis is cut there may be room for both of them, but you're probably right. If comes down to a choice between Hall and Alridge, Hall will probably be in and Alridge will be looking at the practice squad. I just got carried away cause I consider Alridge to be one of the better UDFA sleepers.

                K-Garrett Hartley
                P-Sam Paulescu

The guys I really wanted to put on the team but couldn't justify were:
-OT-Tyler Polumbus: I really thought about cutting Harris and keeping Polumbus because I think he's got a ton of upside. We'll put him on the practice squad but he'll be poached during the course of the season).
-DT-Josh Mallard: Love his motor and he seems to make plays. He's also versatile and could play strong side DE. Unfortunately he's too undersized for DT and the depth is good enough at strong side DE that his versatility doesn't do enough for him. In fact, Ekuban's versatility to move inside on passing downs really kills Mallard's chances.
-RB-Anthony Alridge: Just can't justify cutting any of the guys ahead of him unless he proves to be outstanding as a kick returner to add to his value. The only way he makes the opening day roster is if Torain goes to IR and he finds a way to be versatile enough to beat Sapp's versatility. Practice squad for sure.

I guess the most controversial thing I did was keep Woodyard on the active roster (at the expense of Gandy on the OL). Woodyard is a playmaker who can play well on the weak side and I think will be a special teams demon. I also think his speed and size combo might allow him to develop into the 'big nickel' type of role that Sam Brandon used to play for us so successfully. Like Polumbus, I think if we try to put him on the practice squad we'll lose him before the end of the year. We have some depth at OT and Kuper can move inside if a OG is injured so I thought that it was worth the gamble on the offensive line to gaurantee we can keep Woodyard.

If Marshall is 100% in camp I doubt we will keep 6 WRs. I'm also not sure they will keep 7 LBs. And with Hamilton and Nalen both being a liability I don't think we will cut Gandy, but I do expect Woodyard to make it. I would like to keep Mallard as well, but like you can't see where. I wish they would cut Engleberger but they won't.

And the biggest mistake is that you didn't include McKinley at DT who is currently 1st team.

Oops, you're right on that one. I actually have a consistent dyslexia with McKinnley and Peterson. Not sure why. I'll go ahead and edit it on my roster.

Well with Powell out for the year, Hartley being cut, and Lynch getting released. My prediction of 53 was ruined. Will give this another shot soon.
