fail. oh well. i interviewed strong, but i kind of came out of nowhere. my name is out there in the district now and it gives me time to polish my presentation and skills. i'll probably have a couple more shots this year....especially if/when whoever they hired fails. (they've had 5 managers in 5 years) so i shouldn't have to wait too long. that store is shaky at developing talent and its obvious in their sales and customer numbers. hopefully they at least found an older and self-motivated person who can do the job themselves with little training.

I could see that, he reminds me of Charles Godfrey coming out for some reason.

Edit - I noticed Linval Joseph in your sig, you see much of him? I have to ask my buddy TitansCJFTW about him. He's a big ECU fan.

    1. Suh, DT - Nebraska

The closer the draft is getting the more confident the Rams are going to take Bradford. We get the best player in the draft similar to when we got Calvin Johnson.

    2. Jahvid Best, RB - Cal

Anyone find it odd the Lions haven't shown any interest in the free agent RBs? The position is far from stable and we've lacked a home run hitter for a while now. I'm not worried about the concussion.

    3. Amari Spievey, CB - Iowa

    Very underrated corner,physical.

    4. Mike Johnson, OG - Alabama
Can back up all of the offensive line positions, but I picture him as our LG. Been a part of a successful Alabama line.

    5. John Connor, FB - Kentucky

We've already brought him in for a visit and I like his skill set for a FB. I've always been a fan of an offensive having a true FB which a lot of teams are moving away from. Should be an asset to the running game.

    i like 1 2 and 3 but not 4.

i agree i dont see dwyer exceeding and he seems similar enough to smith i dont even see the point. Would rather more CB depth or a OG

#4 Dwyer,RB he should be there at the top of the fourth. If not Hardesty out of tennessee.
Big name players there ... solid. Is Dwyer going to excel in the NFL?? I have doubts but have eaten crow before ;o)

    EX--ACT--LY ...

Team gets a QB regardless in that scenario.

If Suh goes #1 we take McCoy then pony up for a trade I am game (failing, we still get a stud DT) ... but QB ... uhuh, no way ;o)_

forcing the trade with eli and rivers only worked because san diego was willing to keep manning if it failed.

There are only two real "franchise" QB's in this draft 1) Bradford 2)Clausen

With Seattle, STL, Buffalo, CLE and Washington all needing a franchise QB
STL has whta ever guy they want....so they take Bradford who seems to be the overall consenous. That leaves 4 teams intrested in Clausen services.

With NO Guarantee that someone will trade up to 2 do we force their hand and take Clausen with the NUMBER 2 pick

The we have the option of trading down with
Washington Clausen for #4 overall and #37
    Seattle #6 # 38 #70
    Cle #7 # #39 #71
    Buffalo #9 #41 and next year 2nd

Just an idea let me know what you think?
First off, welcome to the forum ... Go Lion's!

    Secondly, terrible idea. ;o) (sorry)

Show me in the history of the draft where this strategy has worked. I went out a limb & did not research before my response but I am pretty confident it has never worked.

That sounds like Matt Millen to me. Hey lets take Calvin Johnson and try to force a deal with the Bucs after we have him they will fall in line. Teams don't fall in line like that. If there is as much competition for Clausen as you think there is then teams will give their best offer regardless so there is no need to pick him. Even with Calvin our worse case scenario is we have the best WR prospect in a decade. Worse case here is we are stuck with a two multimillion dollar QBs one that isn't all that good to begin with and you lose all bargaining power because teams KNOW you have to get rid of him and they have you by the balls.

that takes more balls than i'm willing to use right now. plus our leverage is hindered by stafford, since there is no way we'd keep clausen. so teams would weigh our need to offload clausen vs their need to overpay us for him. i do have suspicions that seattle wouldn't mind waiting until next season for locker, that cleveland wouldn't be bullied by us and wouldn't mind waiting, that washington is doing things differently and aren't interested in giving up draft picks, and that buffalo might be thinking offensive tackle in the 1st then tebow in the 2nd or a different qb.

i'm not confident enough in other teams wanting clausen, especially after how far brady quinn fell with a similar background. i can see any of those teams possibly wanting to move up for him, but only if its their decisions. they should like their fallback options in this deep draft.
