  • Packers at Falcons *Divisional*

I think we deserve this thread asap after all of us were practically having a heart attack at the end of that game. S-c-a-r-y.

Falcons are a less explosive but more disciplined team. Also a much better running team that had success with that in our first meeting.

If we fumble the football and drop TDs, we're not going to win.

I'm going 31-27 Packers in another close one, with one turnover for each team.

We lost the turnover battle in Philly, still won.
We lost the turnover battle in Atlanta in Nov, barely lost.
We also tackled their FB and Turner worse than we ever have.

If we play our 'A' game, we will win by 10 or more.

If we play our 'B' game, it will come right down to the wire, and refs may decide it... refs kind of had an impact yesterday..... had they flagged Collins for the late hit there, we probably lose and can blame the refs for a bad call. They helped us vs Minny the first time. They Eff'd us in Chicago the first time.

So let's play our 'A' game, and win about 41-27.

There's no reason Rodgers can't roll up another monster game like in Arizona last playoffs.... just minus the first pass INT and last play fumble.

I'm nervous for this game. Very nervous.

We have to play great run defense. Can't give Matt Ryan the time to go 24/28. We're gonna have Walden, not Zombo for this game as well. The O-line kept Rodgers upright for the most part. We were penalized twice as much as Atlanta, gotta fix that. Especially the 15 yard penalty that made their field goal at the end of the game that much more makeable. Other than a couple miscues, we matched up with them across the board last game. James and Jennings were targeted for a combined 16 times last game, 8 each. Both finished with 5 receptions.

I'm not worried. I think it will be kind of close, but I fully expect to win. 24-17 Packers. I'm more confident in this one than last week's.

I'm hoping we open up the deep game more against them. We should be able to take advantage of the turf to do so and it'll be interesting to see if Starks shows better speed in a dome.

I think Matty Ice has gotten a bit overhyped this year at times but gotta give him props for the way he handles business at home.

I'm less scared then I was of the Eagles, as I feel like if we get a lead the Falcons really lack explosive threats on offense; much more methodical.

We HAVE to play better against the run and not miss tackles and if we get pressure on Ryan we'll probably win. That OLine is good and he's used to good protection, he struggles when he's knocked off his game.

Same here. The Falcons have a good team but they don't scare me at all.

I'd certainly say I'm less confident than last week. I'm still slightly above 50/50 though.

Special teams is playing a lot better in recent weeks than it was the last time we played Atlanta.

If Starks plays close to the level he did against Philly, It'll be a huge boost. Our leading runningback against Atlanta was Jackson with 26 yards.

Jordy didn't have any catches yesterday. I'll be surprised if he's not a lot more involved Saturday.

I think with Jones dropping that pass you'll see more of Jordy. Rodgers seemed mucho pissed about that and didn't really look his way again.

Time for one of these cheesy things:

Dead bird epidemic continues. 53 more dead Eagles found on a field in Philadelphia. Scientists say falcons will likely be next.

What do the vikings and marijuana have in common? Every time you put them in a bowl
                        they get smoked.

When looking back at the last game the Packers were a blown 4th down call and a goal line fumble away from handling the Falcons fairly easily. Now when you add in the momentum they have and the addition of James Starks I don't see how the Packers lose. They're on a mission right now, and I hate to be the one to say it but this is starting to feel like a super bowl run.

It's still going to be a hard fought game though and it really could go either way, but I'd give the Packers the edge based on how they're playing as of late and the overall talent on both sides of the ball.

Sure would be nice if games played out LOGICALLY!

-Matt Ryan: 0 career playoff wins.
-Michael Turner: Burned us for over 100 in November, and hurt us in 2008 as well.
-Roddy White: We bottled him up as well as anyone has all year, back in November. Can we do it again? Will Tramon be on him or will they get him isolated on Shields?
-Tony Gonzalez: He hurt us, scored a TD on a blown coverage by Bishop & Collins, and then made a huge catch on 4th down, that he really didn't catch. Still, he's dangerous, especially in the end zone.
-Jason Snelling: That bruiser made a lot of our guys look like girls out there, with soft, pathetic wimpy tackles being missed on 2 key plays he made.

And don't forget, they have a good return specialist too, as we saw first hand to help lose that game in November.

If each team plays it's 'A' game, I have us winning 34-27. I see no reason why we can't light up the scoreboard.

If we play our 'A' game and the Falcons their 'B' game, it's Packers 38-20. If the Falcons play bad, we'll route them like we did to the Giants & Cowboys.

                              A REFRESHER:
