Kubs wont come out and say who the starter will be, but he did act like Brown wont touch the ball. Kubs did say that Foster has had a good week of practice. I would assume that Foster will start after the game he had last week, plus they need to see what they have in Foster going into next year.

        • wow what a big win.... now we have to hope Oakland and KC can win haha, if the Bengals play there starters im not worried about the jets winning.

Mario came up huge today, and picking up Pollard saved our season. Foster looks legit to me.

          • And if everything falls into place and we make the playoffs, Kris Brown better not be on our roster.

Okay. Back to the drawing board.

I know the new running back is exciting to alot of people. I would like to see a big time running back get drafted. I am not a proponet of taking a running back in the first round, but we need one. I have not given up on Slayton, but a big time running back is a must. I think that was proven today.

Also-I know we tried with pass rushers last year. But untill we get another I still think the Texans dont take the next step. Pass rusher in first round and running back in second????????? Just a thought.

              Damn Bengals. Soooo Close.

              • Sorry about the way the game ended tonight. I am a Browns fan and I would have liked seeing the Texans get into the playoffs. I hate the Jets now.. Maybe it's bc of Revis, or maybe Dirty Sanchez.. but thank the Colts for allowing the Jets to win week 16.. They did the same thing to the Browns in 2007. By playing F***ing Jim Sorgi against the Jaguars.. and the Jags winning the tiebreaker.

Shout out to kalbears13. Best DC sig'er EVER!!!

                • Let's have a moment of silence for the end of Kris Brown's career as a Texan...

                  Ok, that seems sufficient.

                  • I have mixed feelings about Kubs staying on as our coach. There have been times i think he does good, and there have been times i want him gone. I really think he is good with the Xs and Os, but doesnt do a good job with making adjustments. Maybe another year is what he needs. I thought he did a great job the last few weeks. I guess one downside to bringing in a new coach would be starting a new system when this one seems to work. If Kubs can find a way to make adjustments and keep his players from making dumb mistakes we will be fine.

It really sucks that Kyle is going to be leaving the team, but i understand. I think he is about 4 years away from being a head coach. I have a feeling that Kubs will find someone on his crew to coach the offense, he doesnt seem like he likes bringing people in from the outside. At first i thought Frank Bush was a awful choice, but ended up being a good move.

                      • Yea. he deserved it.

Just looking at thefinal stats for the team, once again I think a disruptive defensive lineman is needed. Look at the teams in the playoffs. They all have defensive lines. We have Mario and three other jagoves.

I sure wish there were more people talkin Texans.

                        • I think keeping Kubs is the right choice for now just for the simple fact that were so close that any step back would be dissapointing and no matter how you look at it bringing in a new coach a revamping or even tweeking a system takes time. The good thing about the team is that when were on we can play with any team in the league despite having some glaring deficiencies in talent at certain positions. Going into this offseason i think priority number one is extending OD and after that get some talent in the secondary and along both lines. And lastly Kris Brown, Chris Brown, Dunta Robinson, and hopefully Chris Meyers DONT LET THE DOOR HIT YOU ON THE WAY OUT you clowns are the reason were not still playing.

Also we need to get D Ryans a new contract and get Pollard locked up. I agree about getting talent on both lines, Mario is solid, Smith started playing good a little to late for us, I hate to say this but Amobi is on the verge of being a bust. I would like our first round pick to go towards a corner, but we may need to look at DT again.

Dunta says he wants to come back next year, but i think he was just saying the right things in front of the camera, i dont think Rick would offer him the amount of money he was offered last year. He looked awful in so many games.

                            • Congrats on the winning season and Cushing winning DROY guys!

I hope Kubiak keeps his job, but if ya'll did make some changes and put new schemes in place, then I think ya'll could easily adapt. Your defense could play Cover 2 or Zone Blitz, or even convert to a 3-4 in my opinion (May have to draft Mt. Cody or Dan Williams though). Cushing and Barwin at OLB, Mario and Smith at 5-tech, Cody at NT, Ryans and Diles at ILB. Or keep the 4-3 and go ZB, which Cushing is built perfect for, and the added blitzers could help Super Mario. Offense is a little harder, with Kubiak and the Denver ZBS on the OL. But AJ is a freak, OD is a great TE, and Schaub proved he could stay healthy and lead a winning team. Add a stud RB, whether Slaton, Foster (Who I warn, as a Vols fan, has the tendency to fumble at the most inopportune times :(), or a draftee (If you're lookin' for a RB, Montario Hardesty is a match made in heaven for ya'll), and ya'll have a premier skill corps.

But yeah, I hope ya'll keep Kubs and build off what ya got. :)
                              Still Team The Ke$ha!!!

                              • I think Kubiak stays, but we obviously need to make the aforementioned roster moves. In the draft I want to see us address the positions in this order: CB, DT, C, S, LG, DE, K.

We've got to hold onto Demeco, OD, and Pollard. If Chester Pitts walks, I wouldn't lose much sleep over it.
