    Ooh, tuffy.

Um...I'm leaning no, but I'd think hard about it.

      I'd take another D-lineman.

And another in the third, too.

THEN we can start thinking about WRs or whatnot.

      • Many think of Caldwell as a iffy first rounder early second rounder....if we get a upper echelon DE or DT (as Merling and Balmer or Laws) and Caldwell was available, he'd probably be my choice as I don't think there will be a OT or DE/DT worth the second round pick over a skill set like Caldwell's....

sometimes drafting for need doesn't work so well, you end up passing on big time talent...

        • Ive been wondering what the team would do if it could trade back from 26 to around 35, and use thoes extra picks to move from 58 to around 40/45. It looks like at 35 we could snag Laws, and in the mid 40's get ether a CB who has slipped, Lawrence Jackson, or Flacco, Brohm, Henne...

          Ill keep dreaming.

          • I don't think we'd pick a QB in the second round unless it was Henne or Brohm...

but I definitely think we could trade down a couple of spots....

              • So...I'm participating in a mock-draft on another website, and the team that I got was the Jags. I know you guys had some needs on the DL -- both for a pass-rushing DE and another DT (since you guys lost Marcus Stroud).

Here's how the draft has gone so far...
Round 1 (Pick 26) -- DE Quentin Groves, AUBURN
Round 2 (Pick 58) -- DT Ahtyba Rubin, IOWA STATE

Unfortunately, the players that I was targeting in both rounds (DE Philip Merling & DT Red Bryant) got picked just before me in both rounds (ARGH!). However, I still feel pretty good about the draft thus far. Groves is one of the best pass-rushers in this draft, which was obviously a weak-spot in the Jags' DEF last season. And I think Rubin's one of the more underrated players in this draft -- a big, run-stuffing DT who, with Henderson, can eat up a lot of space and will allow the DEs to get after the QB.

                Here are my questions:
On defense, I know that Safety might be a concern since Sammy Knight left. But what about MLB/OLB or CB???

On offense, I know the Jags brought in a couple of WRs, but could they be looking to add another in the draft? Also, I know that the Jags have a great 1-2 punch with Freddy & MJD; however, there are some solid RBs available at this point, as well as a number of good TEs. Also, I know nothing about the Jags' OL.

Basically, what positions could you see the Jags addressing with their two 3rd round picks (remember: I've already drafted a DE & DT)???

                • you should think about CB and SS...but I'd go BAP if you can...

IMO...you took Rubin way too early...

probably a solid late second or early third...he's a really good tackle...
