That's awfully risky. I like the guys talent, but I would rather have someone with a more stable background in round 1 such as Staley or Meachum than taking a risk on this guy. If we traded down and took him at the beginning of round 2 I would feel better about it.

I'd trade down to the top 10 of the second round and a 4th rounder to get him.

He has charecter issues, but they are very minor.

I'd be more than happy to take him, but he won't be available at KC's second round pick. SKill set and potential wise he is one of the top 3-4 CBs in this draft class.

<+BOE> Scott, with Burfict's character concerns (whether legit or not) you think Pioli would draft him. :D
<+ScottWright> Why not. Baldwin does need a sparring partner...

true but if Herm feels comfortable enough in taking him at 23 then I will trust his judgement

That is one advantage to having Edwards is that he seems to know the types of players he can handle. I'm just not one that believes the corner is one of our bigger needs right now and unless you have a talent so far above the other options I would rather fill another need at this point. Our system is not designed to make the most out of a talented man up corner.

yeah but honestly the talent of a RD 1 CB may be too good to pass on plus we can still nab a Jason Hill in RD 2

Yeah I still think we are passing on DT or OL 1st day

              CB/WR/OL or DT

I think that'd be awesome if we drafted down, picked up Wright and then picked up Mebane or Harrell with our second second rounder
hate him back, it works for me.

I think Herm's disdain of drafting corners in the 1st preclude the possibility that Wright will be the 23rd choice, however, I do feel since we are giving him a lot of attention that perhaps a trade down is in order.
