  • Browns Step Up Effort for Green

"With a little more than two weeks left before the 2007 NFL Draft, it appears the Chiefs have two bona-fide participants in the Trent Green sweepstakes. The Miami Dolphins appeared to be the front-runner but now the Cleveland Browns have made public their interest in the Chiefs former starting quarterback."

If we can net a 4th or 5th for him that'd be great

It says CP won't settle for anything less than a second rounder...Is that out of the question??
hate him back, it works for me.

any team would be stupid to give up a 2nd rounder for Green.
Jamaal Charles is the best RB in the NFL

Agreed, Matt Millen might do something like that, but I doubt it.

Browns | Savage in no hurry on Green trade
              Fri, 6 Apr 2007 14:11:27 -0700

Steve Doerschuk, of the Canton Repository, reports Cleveland Browns general manager Phil Savage is not in a hurry to try to trade for Kansas City Chiefs QB Trent Green and said that the situation may not be resolved until the weekend of the 2007 NFL Draft. It is believed Savage will not offer anything more that a fifth-round pick, however he may swap third-round picks for Green. KFFL.com

I think swapping third rounders for Green would be great IF we trade DOWN for Clevelands 2nd round pick and get their 4th out of it as well

So we would look sort of like this
                Cleveland:
                Trent Green
                1.23
                3.84

                Kansas City:
                2.36:
                3.67:
                4.103:
                and a 2008 3rd/4th rounder:

Then Browns could go for Adrian Peterson, then Staley
my scent?...like making love to a lumberjack
<TACKLE> i will ngata give you a bj raji
<+BOE> Scott, with Burfict's character concerns (whether legit or not) you think Pioli would draft him. :D
<+ScottWright> Why not. Baldwin does need a sparring partner...

I wouldn't mind doing that. a Win-Win for the Browns, and a win-win with us, as we can pick up Demarcus Tyler and then BPA Cornerback. Then I could see us taking a WR in the 3rd/4th rounds.

The more I look at Tank Tyler, the more I like the guy, it says he takes too many plays off, but working with Herm and Kurmerie(sp) they can change that around...
