Is appearantly enbtering the supplemental draft due to poor grades.Woul you give a 2nd to take him:?I would he is considered a top 2 or 3 CB in '08 plus we need CB's

Actually, looking back at this and looking at the guy more in depth. I don't think a second rounder would be too steep for this guy. My question is that do we need a CB of that caliber? I don't know much about Cover-2 Defenses' but I know that the CB does alot of Deep zone coverage.
Then again, if that's the reasoning for not picking him, some would ask why we picked up Ty Law with such a steep salary.
I think at the end of the day he'd be worth giving up a second round pick.

Agreed, at this point in time the Chiefs need cornerbacks, and last I checked, Paul Oliver was a corner. 2nd rounder for sure.

I hate to give up a 2nd rounder this early in the process. So many of these supplemental guys just don't pan out and there are a lot of flags with Oliver. As much as we need depth at DB I would rather work to figure it out this season and keep our day 1 picks in tact for the next draft.

If they have pans on getting rid of someone to get another 1,2,3,4 to build up draft picks then I'd do it. Long term it may help bcause Herm is the type to not spend 1st rounders on CB's, so why not get a CB in ASAP

<TACKLE> i will ngata give you a bj raji
<+BOE> Scott, with Burfict's character concerns (whether legit or not) you think Pioli would draft him. :D
<+ScottWright> Why not. Baldwin does need a sparring partner...

The highest CB herm has ever taken has been in 2005, Justin Miller. The rest of the guys' I have never heard of. I think they should look into this guy. I am curious to know what other red flags this guy has about him. It does seem silly for a guy being a top ten pick destroy himself via academics....

Isn't there a big time left tackle available also?
