  • RB23's Dolphin Mock V 2.0

These are my final Dolphins mocks until the morning of the draft.

I think the Dolphins will either get lucky and rejoice as Quinn falls into their laps or they will be somewhat satisfied settling for a OT, mainly Levi Brown.

Draft if we take a QB in the 1st Round
Round: 1, Pick: 9 (9th Overall) Miami - Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame
    Round: 2, Pick: 8 (40th Overall) Miami - Tim Crowder, DE/OLB, Texas
Round: 2, Pick: 28 (60th Overall) Miami - Samson Satele, OG, Hawaii
Round: 3, Pick: 7 (71st Overall) Miami - Andy Alleman, OG, Akron
Round: 4, Pick: 9 (108th Overall) Miami - Paul Soliai, DT, Utah
Round: 6, Pick: 7 (181st Overall) Miami - Kenny Scott, CB, Georgia Tech
Round: 6, Pick: 25 (199th Overall) Miami - Adam Koets, OT, Oregon State
Round: 7, Pick: 9 (219th Overall) Miami - David Ball, WR, New Hampshire
    Round: 7, Pick: 25 (225th Overall) Miami - Brannon Condren, S, Troy
Round: 7, Pick: 38 (238th Overall) Miami - Xzavie Jackson, DE, Missouri

Draft if we take a OT in the 1st Round
Round: 1, Pick: 9 (9th Overall) Miami - Joe Staley, OT, Central Michigan
    Round: 2, Pick: 8 (40th Overall) Miami - Tim Crowder, DE/OLB, Texas
Round: 2, Pick: 28 (60th Overall) Miami - Kevin Kolb, QB, Houston
Round: 3, Pick: 7 (71st Overall) Miami - Andy Alleman, OG, Akron
Round: 4, Pick: 9 (108th Overall) Miami - Paul Soliai, DT, Utah
Round: 6, Pick: 7 (181st Overall) Miami - Kenny Scott, CB, Georgia Tech
Round: 6, Pick: 25 (199th Overall) Miami - David Ball, WR, New Hampshire
Round: 7, Pick: 9 (219th Overall) Miami - Kyle Cook, OG, Michigan State
    Round: 7, Pick: 25 (225th Overall) Miami - Brannon Condren, S, Troy
Round: 7, Pick: 38 (238th Overall) Miami - Xzavie Jackson, DE, Missouri

I like the effort but I find it hard to believe we draft a DE/OLB that early after signing Joey Porter. We have much bigger needs. I can't see us going for anything more then a mid to late round depth pickup at that spot. here are my mocks:

With a QB in round 1:
    1- Brady Quinn, QB
    2a- Sidney Rice, WR
    2b- Josh Beekman, OG
    3- Doug Free, LT
    4-Michael Coe, CB, Alabama State
    6-Kevin Boss, TE
    6- Daniel Sepulveda, P
    7- Justin Warren, LB
    7- Quintin Echols, NT
    7- Selvin Young, RB

IF we don't draft a QB 1st round:
    1- Joe Staley, LT
    2a- Trent Edwards, QB
    2b- Jason Hill, WR
    3- Andy Alleman, OG
    4- Michael Coe, CB
    6-Kevin Boss, TE
    6- Daniel Sepulveda, P
    7- Justin Warren, LB
    7- Quintin Echols, NT
    7- Selvin Young, RB

We got 3 7th rounders. Our own, the one from the Wes Welker trade and the one from the Rams signing Donnie Jones.
