  • Paolantonio: Ginn will miss 6 weeks, including mini camps

Says Ginn has a Lisfranc sprain, may need to wear a boot for 6 weeks and rehab 6 weeks after that.

Ginn is guaranteed to be off the field for the Fins' mini camp coming up in five days.

We all knew that when he was drafted. Those mini camps are more just run around in shorts and get a feel for the offense for the new young rookie and younger players. It's not a big deal. As long as he's reading the playbook and understanding what is going on, he should be back for Training camp and that's what is most important.

Ginn will be out for 2 to 4 months, he's unsure if he'll be ready for training camp. This pick keeps getting better and better.
Vince Young is going to prove he's the next overrated QB to come out in years.

He'll probably end up being a WR or something...

Let's do the math here folks. Four months from now is September. Almost the start of the regular season. This means your #1 draft pick could miss all of training camp and preseason. That is not good for a rookie.

And this is not an injury that came after the player was drafted. This was an injury that came from a touchdown celebration. Not a way to get off to a good start.

funny becuase no one else is reporting anything. ginn himself said he could play today if there were a game. he'll miss some TC because they don't want to risk anything, not becuase he's incapable of it.

He'll be fine and will be ready for training camp.
