  • Just got back from the game. I was watching the receivers all day and nobody was getting open. I only saw one time where Sanchez missed an open reciever and he still found cotch on the sidelines who dropped it. Drops were absolutely killer in this game, Sanchez could have had 400 if receivers were catching the ball.

Additionally, Schotty was inexcusable today. 40 passes to 22 runs? Really? Way too many plays called for Cotchery and no effort to get Braylon involved. The packers secondary looked like they knew half of the routes the receivers were running, no creativity. I know detroit isnt a rollover anymore, but i fully expect this team to come out ******* pissed next week and kick the **** out of the lions

    • The Vikings have waived Randy Moss and according to Shefter, the Jets may show some interest.

Honestly, I don't want him anywhere near our locker room. I'm happy with Edwards-Holmes-Cotchery. Moss is a cancer and just another big ego. We certainly don't need another ego on this team.

      • Honestly, when the team plays like this I start to think they won't make the playoffs. Kind of flat looking, all sorts of miscommunications on defense, too many costly penalties, not running the ball well...Inexcusable two weeks in a row, Detroit's a good team but the schedule is tough, to make the playoffs they have to be able to beat teams like that.

        EDIT:

Luckiest Jets win I've seen in awhile. I'll take it I guess, but there's a ton to work on.

        • Absolutely amazing. Just think about it derza, we have THAT much to work on and improve on, but no one in the league has a better record than us

I'd feel a lot better if those clunkers were towards the beginning of the year...throwing up two ugly games in a row doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy about the rest of the season. That is pretty sweet though.

              • That was brutal. I'm just happy we came away with the victory but we still have a lot of work to do.

Also, Revis is back. He played awesome today.

Of course it would be better if we weren't laying clunkers at this point. But we just reached the halfway point of the season. This is the first game we got the real Revis and the real Santonio, Pace still hasnt reached 100% IMO. Sanchez right now is light years ahead of Sanchez at this point last year, and he took us to the AFCCG. All logic would say that this team is only getting better from now

Yeah, what bothers me is they're supposed to be getting better and they're actually playing worse. Hopefully things continue to click and start to get better sooner rather than later. Cleveland is another tough team that should be beatable but obviously has gone out and beat some teams that overlooked them.

Also interesting that Sanchez had his first career 300 yard game today and the first the franchise has had in awhile. He also has a lot to improve on, every QB has bad throws but that pick was rough and he was really off for a point in the game.

                    • I'm pretty nervous about next weeks game. We have been playing like junk and Cleveland is coming off back to back wins against the Saints and the Pats. They absolutely spanked the Pats yesterday, something has to be said about that. Anyways, Hillis has been unbelievable this year and even Colt McCoy has looked good. It should be interesting to see what happens.

                      • I was a little more worried for last week's game than this weeks' game to be honest. Unless they come out and lay another egg, the level of intensity has to be superior than the past couple weeks for this game. The Browns are coming off a huge win against a better opponent, I wonder if they're due for a bit of a let down. Plus McCoy has been playing very well, but I'd imagine this scheme will be able to confuse him a bit - he's just a rookie QB. Bottling up Hillis will be big, but I'm just not sure how many points they'll be able to get against the defense or where they'll come from if he doesn't go off. Their defense is really good too, I'm kind of hoping either the run game or pass game gets rolling since both have been poor. Should be a tough, close, low scoring game, but I think we'll prevail. Very similar to the Lions game though in terms of playing a good opponent that tends to be underrated, the Browns finish games too. For whatever reason I feel a little better about this one though.

                        • Apparently the backfield is moving towards a 50/50 split between Greene and LDT...hopefully Greene explodes later in the year, love his running style.

Good. LDT was showing signs of slowing down, limiting his touches will increase his effectiveness. On the other hand, Greene is the type of back that gets better as he gets more carries and the game wears on. I was hoping they would make this change and i dont think it could have come at a better time. Lets back back to ground and pound

                            • Well that was a really satisfying win...didn't think that they'd manage to pull it out. Huge plays by Coleman and obviously Santonio at the end, Sanchez's pocket presence was really impressive towards the end of the game also. That play by Holmes is why they brought him in, he's been huge at the end of games. Hopefully he starts to get some looks earlier in the game. Cleveland is a really tough team, Hillis was really rolling early on in the game and it's tough to get to McCoy because he's so mobile. Thought the defense played a lot better in the second half which I was really happy about. Hopefully Folk gets his confidence back after a rough game, at least he didn't cost the team the win but 3 missed FG's is bad, especially with that second miss being a really easy one that he's GOT to make. So nice to be 7-2, time to get ready for a Houston team that's going to be looking for to bounce back after a tough loss today. Arian Foster obviously has been sick on the ground and seeing Revis matched up against AJ again should be pretty fun.

                              Also, 5k!

We have to play better but good teams win games like this so I'm pretty happy.
