  • Raiders Resign CB Chris Johnson

    http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/...entry_id=35763

The Raiders re-signed cornerback Chris Johnson to a four-year contract, his agent confirmed Thursday, as the team made its first significant player transaction move of the offseason. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Johnson went from a special teams and nickel-package player to a replacement for two-time Pro Bowler DeAngelo Hall midway through last season. He had three interceptions, 12 passes defensed and a forced fumble......
He was the 3rd player on my list to resign(after Aso and Lechler). Good to see him back. Hopefully he plays as good as he did down the strech last season all 4 years of the contract

Excellent news, alternately, the Redskins are trying to resign DeAngelo Fall. I feel we have the better corner.

Johnson looked very much like a great starting corner for us and an even better compliment to Aso's game in the half or so of the season he played. I'm looking forward to seeing how he adapts to our new defensive schemes because it's well known he was a super fit in Ryan's defense. Personally, I think he'll be just fine and I'd also prefer him over D-Hall.

He looked good last year, but I'd still like to see the kind of money that was involved. Hopefully we didn't have to pay too much.

he played great minus the San Diego game but everyone played like crap that night. I'm glad to have him back, he is really talented.
